Time Warp

It was one of those mornings.

I woke up and looked at my phone, which read 7:21AM.

Then I rolled over.

Woke up again and started checking emails. Time = 8:48!!!

!?!?!

Slept away the morning!! Guess I needed the rest.

Hello coffee!!

IMG_7601 (640x427)

Starbucks sent me some of their new Natural Fusions coffee to test out. Me love flavored coffee.

IMG_7604 (640x427)

They are made from arabica beans and blended with real ingredients – spices, botanicals and all.

Glad to see this:

IMG_7602 (640x427)

Smell = delicious!

IMG_7603 (640x427)

Taste was great. Nice and strong. Not bitter like some of the other Starbucks blends (ahem, breakfast blend). The flavor wasn’t as pronounced as some of the other flavored coffees I’ve tried, but I def. liked it!

IMG_7610 (640x427)

Also love the packaging on this guy: Vega Vanilla Chai

SIAB!

IMG_7614 (640x427)

For both Matt and I, I combined:

  • 1 scoop Vega
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1.5 cups frozen berries
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 handful spinach

Toppings:

  • Homemade Maple Walnut Granola
  • Coconut butter magic shell
  • 1 small blob of TJ’s PB because I missed it

IMG_7612 (640x427)

IMG_7615 (640x427)

Magic clump!!

Off to do stuff.

Guess you needed sleep 🙂 Love the SIAB! I need to make one of those, I always have smoothies for snacks, never think of em’ for breakfast!

    Enjoy your day!

I’ll have to check out that coffee! I like my flavored coffee to really only have a “hint” of the flavor otherwise it’s usually too overwhelming.

OMG, that starbucks carmel flava sounds divine! I’m enjoying some vanilla coconut tea this morning…a fabulous blend from a local coffee/tea producer here in OR.

I am actually sipping some Breakfast Blend right now – but I enjoy my coffee with a bit of a bite to it :-). I really want to try the Vanilla flavor of the new Starbucks coffees, but am going to wait until my current bag of beans runs out.

How long do your SIABs keep you satisfied? I want to try them for breakfast but worry I’ll be hungry sooner than if I had eaten a bowl of oats!

A long time!! They are big. Probably 500 calories with toppings. They’ve held me 5-6 hours. Probably didn’t need that big of one today 🙂

I did the unintentional sleep in today as well. I hate it when that happens to me though, because it always leaves me feeling sleepy and unproductive all day- what a strange thing! Sleep more and feel tired, LOL. I wish I could find Coconut Butter in Canada… they don’t even have it at Whole Foods?
