Ball + Bums

We had such fun hanging out with Caitlin + Kristien and Kristien’s brother Nick! We were bums on the couch with fun TV and then took James for a 45 minute walk around the neighborhood.

When we returned it was 5:00 and my run was catching up with me with some sudden hunger!

Enter Caitlin‘s newly canned Ball Jar Blueberry Jam!!

It tasted fabulous but it was a bit….unspreadable. Quite the gel! I had some Costco PB (yum!!) and jam on Great Harvest Honey Whole Wheat. Mmm!

We finally headed home back to Karen’s and just headed up last week’s pasta bake for dinner.

IMG_7650 (640x427) (3)

It was even better reheated!

Matt put together this fabulous simple salad of greens, tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, Garlic Gold, salt and lime juice.

A Margarita salad!?

Was starting to feel really hungry again so I had a big slice ‘O watermelon!!

It worked its magic.

Going to read and get my body clock back to earlier mornings. I’m working at Great Harvest on Tuesday for "practice" and have to get up in the 3:00 hour!!

Sunday’s are meant for relaxing and laziness every now and again (although I would not consider a 6 mile run and a 45min walk laziness). Glad you got to just relax and enjoy a day- I am sure things will be a little hectic with the move coming up!

Most dinners taste better after they’ve been able to “rest” a bit – at least, hot dinners do! And even better, that lasagne still looks good for us! 😛

Dinner looks so simple but yum. I love nothing more than a fresh salad and some type of pasta.

Haha, everytime I see you (or Caitlin) write canning, I get confused- over hear, that would mean like getting told off or fired (‘oh I got canned!’), whereas the canning you talk about is called bottling. Very confusing!
