Loopty Loo

Lucky for me, the rain stopped for juuuuuust enough time to squeeze in a run!! With my latest spontaneous attitude towards getting wet in the rain, I bounced out the door and did a loopy 5 miler close to home – down all kinds of cul de sacs and circle roads. My goal was to hit 3 miles before the rain returned (per the Weather Channel Doppler) but I managed to get in 5.3! It was one of those times when I just kept running because I could.

Running is so fun when you don’t have to TALK to someone else!! : ) All of my miles were under 9 minutes today, which is huge for me in this crazy, loopy, hilly town.

We spent this morning at a coffee shop meeting and then at the bakery – finalizing our paint colors!!

IMG_1035Blog

We’re going for open, airy loft with splashes of bright warm colors. I wanted green everywhere, but it’s not warm enough for a food environment (even though the color is called Avocado!) so we settled for the bathroom and office.

Here’s a slideshow of the rest of the shots I took today! [Hope this new gallery feature works!]

We did some measuring for signage purposes too –

IMG_1040Blog-2

After my run I settled into a yummy lunch –

IMG_6551Blog

A Crazy Camel pumpkin hummus sandwich on whole wheat Cinnamon Chip with spinach – it was delish!!!

IMG_6561Blog

IMG_6563Blog

Plus a mish-mosh of Danielle’s chips. Just opened the sweet potato – YUM! They’re crunchy like banana chips not potato chips. I am loving all the flavors of these chips – but mostly the texture! They are coming to OpenSky soon!

IMG_6566Blog

Lastly, I had a pile of lightly microwaved veggies with some hummus for dipping

IMG_6556Blog

A strange combo, but good lunch! Hope it keeps me full…

IMG_6553Blog

Pink POM-spiked seltzer for a cocktail

IMG_6549Blog

I’m headed out, then back again. Still running in loops!

Do you usually steam veggies or eat raw? I love them but wondering if they’re contributing to a lot of discomforts!

i agree that too much green can be jarring – my husband wanted it everywhere in our house (his last name is GREENwald) but it was a bit much. felt institutional and i had to repaint a few walls!

I guess I thought because your shop is part of a much bigger “Great Harvest” that so many of these things would be picked out for you already (like paint, signs, etc.) Although it’s a lot of work choosing your own, it really is so great that you can customize so much! It’s really going to feel like your OWN Great Harvest, not just “another one.”
