Lettuce Celebrate

I cannot tell you how good lettuce tastes when you’ve been on sugar overload.

IMG_9098 (600x450)

I made a big salad plate – my latest bakery lunch.

Here is the progression of my favorites in the order I was obsessed with them:

Curried Tuna Sandwich

Twin Oats Tofu and Pesto Sandwich

Monticello Garden Sandwich

Monticello Garden with Cheddar Sandwich

Lettuce tasting plates

IMG_9093 (600x450)

This one was a bed of veggies plus kalamata olives, pimento cheese, lemony hummus and tofu + pesto slab. Plus a hunk of Popeye

IMG_9095 (450x600)

And a Hugh Jass grapefruit!!

IMG_9094 (450x600)

I had a small slice of High Five for an 11am snack. It’s hard to focus on slicing bread if you’re stomach is growling!

Lettuce celebrate lettuce – and the season!

Haha I’m glad you’re getting your green fix Kath! I know what you mean about lettuce tasting good when you haven’t had it in a while – I go into veggie withdrawal if I don’t have a big salad every day! Your bakery lunches look delicious! 🙂

Your salads are definately never boring. I love how salads have evolved into more than just lettuce and veggies…your addition of hummus, pimento cheese and tofu pesto elevate the typical salad into something that is so much more…more interesting…more to love…more to savour…delicious!

Oh that vertical grapefruit shot is great! I havent had grapefruit in ages…need to change that. After I’m done polishing off the fresh pineapple and grapes I just picked up.

And the title of the post…very cute 🙂 You have a never ending supply of good ones! Mine are…boring. lol

I’ve been drinking spinach, milk & nana or berry smoothies in the mornings to front load my produce for the day. Then cookies, home-made pizza and chips w/dips the rest of the day it seems 🙂

I’ve been eating lots of arugula after baking cake balls. Oy. I’m so glad they’re out of the house!
Arugula, sprouts, pickles, a fried egg, and hot sauce = the perfect lunch!

You think of the most clever post titles, Kath!

Are you in sugar shock yet from all the wonderful sweet treats at the bakery? (LOL) 🙂

You said, “Plus a hunk of Popeye” … Are you referring to Matt? (LOL)
