Keep On Truckin’

Karen and I are on a road trip this afternoon. She’s the pilot of Blue Betty! I’m still a little afraid to drive such a big vehicle…

image this !

image

We stopped at the bakery to get sandwiches for the road for lunch! Half a Curried Tuna for me! First time in ages it’s sounded appealing.

image

We shared this bag of chips. They were perhaps the best chips I’ve ever had! Reminded me of both sets of grandparents, who always had/have baskets of crinkly kettle chips when we visit.

image

To end, I drank this tiny bottle of Siggi’s that was sent to the bakery from the company for sampling. Loved how low the sugar was. Nothin’ but a light strawberry flavor.

image

Went to a great cycle class this morning. Broke a good sweat!

See you when I see you!

I’ve tried those chips before – they are really good! Unfortunately, they don’t sell them anywhere near me.

Yummy lunch, which reminds me, time for mine!

I’m a huge weirdo: not only do I hate driving really big cars, but I hate little cars, too. I’m like the Goldilocks of vehicles! Be safe, have fun!

I went to the warehouse for those chips – on Rt. 11 in VA near Shenandoah. You can sample all the flavors there, which I love!

That tiny drinkable Siggi’s is cute! I’ll have to look for them; Dustin might like them for breakfast.

Sandwiches always taste better on road trips! Not sure why. Must be the excitement of the open road. 🙂

    Kath,

I’ve noticed that you eat fish pretty regularly. I’m early in my pregnancy and have been told not to eat more than 12 oz a week, and to avoid certain fish altogether. Do you follow any guidelines?

Tuna no more than once a week and no high mercury fish… Otherwise eat away!

I would advise doing your own research on tuna and ask your doctor. My midwife said its best to avoid tuna altogether and at the most once a month due to tuna fish being higher in mercury than ever.

I think you only have to completely avoid certain types of tuna during pregnancy – some types of tuna are much higher in mercury, like ahi.
