Human Interaction

IMG_0561Blog

Lots going human interaction going on over here. We have our company here, plus Karen’s mom and sister are in town [I ran into them on the mall!], we have had at least 5 different workmen at the house, plus a kitty. And I need to get down to the bakery!

After catching up on computer work this morning, I went to do a simple gym workout. Stair climbing and weight lifting – since I missed 2 Pumps! I did a mix of free weights and machines – 2 very heavy sets of 15 reps. Didn’t get nearly the workout I do in Pump [I just can’t push myself that hard on my own] but my arms do feel more tired now.

Matt did the grocery shopping this week, so peeking in my fridge today was like opening the December 25 advent calendar door!

I made a big salad filled with mixed greens, carrot, bell pepper and garbanzos. Dressed in olive oil, lavender salt (just realized I didn’t get to the farmer’s market in San Francisco for more!) and a drizzle of honey.

IMG_0557Blog

Great Harvest Honey Wheat roll – pinched into croutons – rounded it out as well as some goat feta.

IMG_0563Blog

Turn around little guy – don’t be shy!

IMG_0559Blog

That’s better…this guy was my dessert!

Have a great one!

Winesap have always been my great aunt’s favorite, since she had a tree in her yard. They make excellent baked apples! 🙂

Ok that looks delicious! It’s only 11am right now but I’m already hungry for lunch. I think I’ll just eat vicariously through this post while I stand at my desk at work. Btw – lavender salt is the best 🙂

Good Morning! My name is Monica and I read your blog every day and really enjoy the photos and great food ideas. I am from Toronto (Canada) and last week met a colleague for the first time who lives in Charlottesville. I immediately recognized Charlottesville from your blog that I read daily. I told her all about the blog and how beautiful the city is….coincidentally she knew your bakery and has bought bread many times from Matt. It is such a small world! This morning I received a package and inside the box were two fresh loaves of bread from your bakery! I can’t wait to try them and share them with the others in my office. I thought I would share this story….

Wish I could get myself to do the salads for lunch thing — yours always look so fantastic! But alas, packing one to go never seems like such a great choice. Clearly, I have salad envy 😉 and plenty of produce in my fridge waiting for me to get on the ball!

nice job on the weights session!! I find lifting heavy pushes me incredibly more than the pump classes do. Too bad I can’t figure out how to coordinate it with beats per fun music songs 😉

It’s from the San Francisco farmer’s market! But you can also make one homemade. Gracefulfitness.com has one!
