Hot Wheels

Foodblog--6

SUPER excited about the gift that came in the mail from Mark [Matt’s dad] and Cheryl!! We won’t be able to use it for a few months until the baby is older, but I can hardly wait! It’s soooooooo smooth to push! Matt put it together after we went on a long walk this morning. Up and down hills and things. Some bouncing on the curbs. No contractions to report yet…

Foodblog-4991

Wholesome lunch followed

Foodblog-4984

Big salad with hard boiled egg, avocado, bacon, tomato and goat cheese – all the best!

Foodblog-4986

Served with a side of Cheddar Garlic

Foodblog-4987

And a pile of grapes

Foodblog-4989

We watched two episodes of Mad Men. Sure is gloomy outside here! Thinking of doing some reading next. I’m procrastinating writing my 40 weeks BERF post – it was one I was hoping not to write!

I love my Bob! They make an infant carseat adapter for the Chicco Keyfit and the Graco Snugride. It’s clips right in and my little girl has loved going on walks since she was 2 weeks. Hope baby decides to show up soon!

    Dear Kath,

I am following your blog since a few months now, started a bit before you launched the baby announcement, looking for healthy recipes and found a lot more.

From far away, me and all your other followers share the thrill with you of getting your first child. Thanks for sharing. I hope you don’t have to wait for too long anymore.

All the best to you and your family from Munich, Germany,

I love my BOB- and Jackson is only 11 days old! …..You can use it sooner if you buy the inserts that support baby’s head and such- the kind you buy to put in a car-seat to add protection and stability for a newborn’s head- I bought mine at Target……. Not saying I’d jog with my super newborn on a country road but I can use it to take long walks and such! You’re going to love it!!!!

I gave birth to my first and only 21+ years ago and I didn’t think she would ever come. They finally made her come 14 days past her due date. At least you won’t have to wait that long since they don’t let you go that far these days. Can’t wait to see that you have your new addition in your arms! I’m praying for you to go into labor naturally instead of having to be induced.

We’ve had our BOB for 6 years and still going strong and we’re pushing a 5 year old around in it now. When we go on long runs or hikes there’s no way she can walk that far so she hops in when she’s tired, closes the canopy and laughs at herself for riding but admits, it’s a super comfy ride. Enjoy it! We’ve put AT LEAST 5000 miles on ours. Probably 10,000 if I stop to do the math over 6 years…

I am eagerly awaiting your labor post 🙂 Hope the baby arrives when both of you are ready.

I finally decided to give overnight oats in a jar a try! I wanted to ask which is better…fruit put in the jar at night or in the morning?

Also, how come your jars always look like they are filled up at least 3/4 of the way up? Mine does not even look halfway full (I used 1/3c of all the ingredients).

    Thanks Kath!

I like at night… less to do in the am!

And maybe my jars are just smaller? Or the fruit bulks it up?

I think it might be the fruit that bulks it up because my jars are the same brand (TJ’s sunflower butter).

The good news is it will be quite soon and baby will arrive. It’s hard to wait though, so exciting. I remember towards the end of both of my pregnancies -so much going through my mind! My babies were both born a little early – 2wks for one, and 1 week for the other, so I never got to the watch the calendar mode. Keep walking, he will be here soon!!

LOVE our BOB. We have had it for 9 years and used it for 4 kids and it still looks and works like its brand new. That stroller saved my sanity through some very long winter days. Would push 2 little ones in a nice long run, as they were all bundled up, and it was our main outing for the day. Still use it for 2 year old…

I am so bummed for you that baby is still not here. These are THE LONGEST days ever. I remember well. Hoping he decides to come sooner rather than later….I cant believe there’s no signs?!!!?

We got so much use from our stroller – we had to replace tires at a local bike shop a few times because they were worn out. In hindsight, we wish we had put an odometer on the stroller to see how many miles ir saw. We estimate at least 10 miles every week, on average, for five years! It would have been great to see the real number. You shout attach one!
