Gone With The Wind

Just call me the Wicked Witch of the West because I was blown all through town today!

IMG_2505Blog

First, this morning, to Body Pump, although I drove my car because it was still raining mildly when I left. The class was great! I’m really enjoying BP. Hope I don’t get sick of it! My muscles are growing. I’m kind of at that point when you just look bigger all over and not really more defined? Hopefully it’s just a phase 🙂

The woman in front of me made my day. We just finished the biceps track and I guess I was making a lot of grimacing faces because at the end she turned to me and said “Great job on that!” I thanked her and laughed. She said I had twice as much weight as her and she could barely finish. So nice of her to comment!

Once I was back home, I made an earlier-than-usual lunch because we had a 2PM appointment.

IMG_2504Blog

A salad with every vegetable in our fridge, two eggs, pecans, smoked cheddar and an orange! Drizzled in a little honey with sea salt.

IMG_2491Blog

Don’t knock the combo until you try it!

IMG_2503Blog

It was a fun and fabulous salad.

After eating, Matt and I biked across town (easier said than done!) for our construction meeting.

IMG_2507Blog

Ay yi yi. That’s all I’m gonna say!

But after the meeting, we biked, I mean blew, back across town to see the bakery’s demo updates. It looks AMAZING with all the space opened up!!

It used to be filled paint and T-shirts

CrazyHorseBeforeIIICrazyHorse Before

Then walls were demoed

BLOG-0207

And today – it’s a wide open space! We’re keeping the open ceiling in the customer area – I’m so excited to get that lofty feel!

GHCville

Matt and I wrestled the wind [and hills] on our bikes back home. Boy did I need water and chapstick during that 3 mile ride home! Smothering on/in both of them now, and have to make some decisions with Matt as well as pack for our trip!

Wow what progress!! So exciting 😀
About the body pump/muscle definition thing – we do tend to retain water when first starting back up strength training, thus creating the bigger look. Keep it up for a couple more weeks and the definition part should make an appearance 🙂

The feeling big all over part will pass, I promise! Weight training causes water retention in the muscles and it discourages a lot of people when they are training because they get that bloated feeling, but you just have to stick with it! I love BodyPump 🙂 It’s a really great workout!

So excited to see your store coming along!!! Have fun on your trip 🙂

I’ve had boiled eggs in my salad but not a runny one. Looks delish. Let me know how the BP goes. I do it once a week, but I think Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred when I’m trying to get more definition. Something about combining the cardio with muscle building seems to keep me from getting to that bulky stage that I went through when I was weight lifting and running.

Hmmm….it’s so funny you say that about weight training. I go through “phases” of being really into weights and then a few weeks in, I give up because I just feel….well, large all over. I know that it’s good to do but I just can’t make myself love it like I do cardio. I also find that my appetite is really amped up when I do a lot of lifting so that probably contributes!

I think I asked you before – so I apologize if you did answer and I didn’t see it – but what time do you normally eat lunch and dinner? I tend to eat both late and it’s always hyped “not to”, etc.
