Gettin’ Down

I slept solid last night, with the exception of waking up at 4:30 FREEZING! We took off our down comforter, and I had to hunt it down, but only after 15 shivering minutes of not wanting to get out of bed and trying to just go back to sleep. It was so wonderfully warm for that last hour!

I also got down with oats this AM:

Ramen Bowl (coming soon!) sportin’

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 frozen banana (we were out of fresh and frozen chunks work just as well)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/3 cup cottage cheese, stirred in at end
  • Vanilla
  • Cinnamon
  • Pinch salt
  • Sarah’s Nutty Butter blob – so hazelnutty!!!!!!!!
  • Chai granola

Sarah really knows how to invent!! <3 her blog.

Isn’t it nice to get home and be around your favorite foods and have a good old homemade breakfast. It’s nice to get away but so nice to get home.

Everyone keeps telling me Biscoff cookies are your favorite. The giveaway ends tomorrow. Check it out.
Take care and hopefully Matt was able to make the 3 AM bread making call.

I’ve been seeing your coffee press for AGES and have finally decided that I’ll be stopping by at Starbucks to pick one up before our camping trip week after next. VERY excited about having REAL coffee this time out. The camp perculator just didn’t cut it… tasted like water to us.

Do you let your grinds steep for 4 min ?

I’m house-sitting for a really old place with no adequate heating and I don’t like to leave the one tiny heater on overnight in case it burns down my room, so I’ve been waking up freezing every morning. Ugh. So sympathies!
