Drive By Chewing

On the road. Again!

This afternoon coffee (decaf!) was a must to warm us up. It’s like February here! I got a coffee with steamed milk that hit the spot.

this !

After our last appt we dug into an extra loaf of Dakota for a snack. I don’t know that I’ve ever eaten Dakota by the hunk but I would like to eat it that way again!

We finally said our farewells and mentally prepared for our 5 hour drive, which included mentally deciding we needed something for dinner in transit!

We stopped at the famous Revolutionary Soup for sandwiches. Their menu has so many amazing ingredient combinations!! All of Cville seems to know how to do sandwiches right up my alley. They just need some GH bread as a foundation 😉

I got the Adams Apple: turkey, apple, goat cheese, arugula, and bacon on sunflower wheat bread. Yuuummm!!

Plus a mini spinach salad with more goat cheese and raspberries!!!!! Love berries!

Honest Tea for dessert. I love this stuff. Although I think it’s more than “a tad bit sweet” – it’s pretty sweet to me!

We ate dinner at 5:45. Early birds! We just couldn’t wait any longer with it sitting in the back seat.

So glad I iPhone blogged today. It really helped me out being busy. I know the photos aren’t ideal, but it’s a million times easier.

Hopefully home in 2-3 more hours. Then I turn around and start preparing for the work week (but poor matt has to be up at 3a to make bread!)

Nite!

The convenience of the iphone has me really considering one. The cost however, has me wavering. Oh and the fact that I’m on the computer most of the day already. 😉 And that sandwich sounds delicious!

Glad it was a good trip! Sounds very productive! Honestly, with you, it is definitely not all about the pictures! You always have such great information…the read is what’s important! You guys be careful and hopefully this was the start of a great week! Seriously, you two are about to open a bakery! That is pretty amazing!

I am a big fan of Honest Tea; in fact, I just had some of their “Community Green Tea with Maltese Orange” with dinner. Organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, OU kosher, and very environmentally responsible/charitable — what more could one want?

    hello! love your website.

this is a question which would be rude in real life, but i think is fair to ask of bloggers, who have legal/moral imperatives to divulge such information: where does the money to start up this bakery come from? and nutrition school tuition? are you in any way sponsored by a corporation? do you pay for everything yourself? are your parents helping you out?

    love,
an unemployed definitely not house-owning, graduate school tuition paying, 20 something 🙂

      Charlotte,
I have absolutely no legal or moral imperatives to divulge financial information on my blog! I’m sorry, but that is part of my life that is private.

sorry, i didn’t mean to pry! but as you probably know the Federal Trade Commission has established new guidelines for bloggers requiring them to divulge whether they are being sponsored/endorsing a product/etc…..but as you say “part of your life” i suppose you’re talking about personal/family funds.

just read your bylaws too and it clarified some things. great blog. carry on!

Our business ventures with Great Harvest have nothing to do with my blog. If GH was paying me to open a franchise and blog about it, I would certainly let you guys know! This business is a personal ambition of ours.
