From Number Crunching To Salad Crunching

Did you have fun number crunching!? I’m sure some of you feel asleep during that post, but I hope others feel more organized just from reading it!

There is a post in the works on computer organization! Which makes me want to share how happy my new computer desktop theme is making me. It’s called Nature by Mike Swanson, and it’s rotating photos of beautiful green! I believe I downloaded it from Windows where it says “get more themes online” in my Windows 7 personalize box.

I worked on that post all morning, and Matt’s been away at meetings. We hired a contractor! Our new expected opening date is some time in mid-May. A bit later than we’d hoped, but it sounds good to me.

I went to Body Pump today!!!! I biked there and back too, which was freezing. BP was really good today (meaning I didn’t get bored and felt challenged). I can’t believe I am still going to the class! Longest group ex I’ve ever stuck to in history! [Actually when I think about it, that’s not true – I was loyal to Jackie’s Charlotte Harris YMCA Friday morning 5:45 spin class for years when I worked out before work/school]

Once I was back at home, I had a 2PM salad

TriosaladBlog

Spinach, carrots, peppers, the best bleu cheese, avocado, lavender salt, balsamic, olive oil

But the real fun occurred with this fresh-out-of-the-oven Flax Oat Bran bun! Never as good as Great Harvest original. But I loved this with a smother of butter, jam, and Naturally Nutty Butter Toffee PB that Katie sent home with me from convention!

I have a walking date with Faith and a Davidson date later tonight!

Have you posted the Flax Oat Bran Bun recipe? I looked but don’t think I saw it on your recipe page. Those look delicious, and we’re due to make a batch of English muffins. If you have a recipe, I might try these instead.

Hey Kath, I’m just wondering how you manage to eat salads through the winter? I know I prefer something warm like soup or a toasted sandwich. Do you let it get to room temperature before you eat it? It’s amazing to me that you can eat them in below freezing temperatures! I’m from Australia and we never get snow (where I live) but I still can’t eat a salad in winter! 🙂

I love all of your Home Neat Home posts too. I love organisation but sometimes let things slide! You make me want to be better organised!

Maybe I keep our house too warm!? I have a hard time with frozen things like smoothies or cold breakfasts in the winter, but I guess I don’t think of salads as that cold? But I also usually eat them for lunch when I’m just back from my workout, so maybe I’m a bit on the warm side. I also always have a space heater on me!
