Finals

Today has been so fun and chill. We made less bread today than usual so things have just been more relaxed and festive. Feels a little bit like high school in the days before Christmas when final exams were complete!

We have lots of cookies

And Karen’s pecan pies left!! Her recipe is true Southern PEE-can pie!

IMG_9101 (600x450)

My huge bowl of oats kept me full until 1pm – and left no desire for snacking on broken cookies or hunks of cinnamon chip. I did have a hunk of Popeye to tide me until bakery lunch hour (2pm).

Our order rack is nearly empty!!

As a special lunch treat for the employees today we ordered lunch from Beer Run.

Their famous nachos

Turkey Trot and Apple + Goat Cheese sandwiches

And salads

‘Twas the night before Christmas delicious!

I sure hope your PEEcan pies don’t have a speck of cinnamon in them…

I feel like I say the word pecan correctly. Either way, it just doesn’t work for me. Weird.

    Merry Christmas 🙂

Mmmm, pecan pie! I spent most of my life thinking I hated pecans, but they’re my favorite nut- and everything tastes better when it’s baked into a pie.

That salad looks so delicious so I’m taking it as a sign that I need some more greens in my diet (and probably less sugar) so I think I’ll have to have a salad with dinner. 😉
