Energy By Exercise

IMG_9528-2Blog

Good afternoon! Seen any snow today? Feels like a flashback to the winter despite all the green I see from my window.

I went to Pump this morning and got a great workout in. The class was packed! It definitely amped up my energy a bit, but I’m still dragging today. Must be the weather! I am not a big napper, but maybe a 10 minute snooze will do me some good…

Post-Pump lunch included…a few swigs of juice followed by leftover pizza + grapes

IMG_9530-2Blog

And a nutritious salad made of mixed greens, salt, olive oil, avocado, lemon hummus and cottage cheese.

IMG_9531-2Blog

I used to put cottage cheese on my salads at salad bars all the time when I was little (in addition to blue cheese dressing – they complement each other so well!) but I need to do this more at home!

IMG_9532Blog

I couldn’t resist a spoonful of Biscoff Crunch for dessert. It’s funny I’ve had TJ’s Cookie Butter in my house for months and don’t find it too tempting but this new Biscoff…geez.

IMG_9535-2Blog

‘Bout to go write tomorrow’s BERF post!

The Biscoff is addicting I can’t keep it in my house since I wll eat all the jar, no portion control around Biscoff!! I love cottage cheese on top of my salads, however I can’t even come close to blue cheese, somehow I don’t like the smell…

Just thought I’d share that they carry the Biscoff Crunch at World Market in Charlottesville – that’s actually the first place I saw it!

I have some cottage cheese in the fridge and was wondering what else I could use it for besides overnight oats. I’ll have to try it on my salad.

    You look amazing!! 🙂

10 minute snoozes can be lifesavers! Try to stay warm in the coolish weather you’re having. We’re having it, too.

    Hi Kath,

Can you do a post either here or on BERF on how you modify Body Pump for pregnancy? I’m only 11 weeks along but I have seen other pregnant women doing the full out ab track (something my doctor and all the pregnancy books do not recommend). Do you do all the tracks as per normal? Would love to hear what if any modification you make. Thanks!

Do you find the flavor of the Biscoff spread that different from the Cookie Butter or is it just the crunch that sends it over the top?

Cute photo…oh man I look back and those small “baby bump” photos I was so proud of at the time and laugh. I ended up ALL belly, so big in the front it was ridiculous, people always thought I was having twins the way I waddled around 🙂 Nope, just 1 big boy!
