Divine Bananas

DSC06511

I was up at 5:26 this morning to head to the gym. My upper body is a bit sore from yesterday’s lifting, so I just stuck to cardio and stretching. 10 minutes on the ET for a warm-up and 35 on the Stepmill. I was dying by the end and couldn’t wait for the clock to hit 00:00!

Today’s bowl of oatmeal was divine 🙂

  • 1/3 cup oats, 2%milk, water, 1/2 med. banana, pinch salt
  • 1/4 cup wheatberries
  • 1/4 cup 4% cottage cheese
  • 1 tbsp flax
  • 1 tbsp homemade pumpkin butter
  • 1/8 Banana Boom ProBar
  • Spoonful Honey Cinnamon PB

I just had tea this AM. I missed the ritual of coffee, but the tea tasted clean and pure.

Besides my two nutrition classes, today will be spent continuing to study Organic for Friday’s test and next Friday’s final. Pretty much all my time in the next 2 weeks will be on chemistry, as I have a good grasp on my other course material for the finals (but I will have to study some). And this afternoon I am meeting reader Rachel for coffee and a walk!

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Hey everyone–I found this article in the New York Times. It’s just interesting to see one potential effect of banning trans fat in NYC. Believe me, I’m all for the ban, I just didn’t consider this outcome:

“Banana Boom” would make a good band name. Then again, so would “Reader Rachel”.

Alli, I liked that article. I wrote something about that myself on my own blog. (My information was based on a study from a year ago, October.)

Very interesting article!! I think it’s definitely true how people equate health food with low calorie food althought it may not be the case. Yes, it’s great to have some trail mix instead of Doritos, but you need to exercise a little restraint because of the hig fat/cal nuts!

Speaking of exercise… 35 minutes on the stepper? You must have buns o’ steel my friend… 🙂
