Disconnected

Blogging on the neighbors again 🙁 On my tiny laptop. Internet is O.U.T. and I’m a crab!!

this !

Guess who will be spending her commute on the phone with AT&T. Gosh my blood just BOILS when I think about how long this has been going on (2-3 weeks!?)

Other than that little big problem, I’m having a great day!! I went to cycle class this morning for a chance of pace.

A few bites of banana before I left – I was hungry AND thirsty this morning

IMG_8800 (640x427)

I was surprised to find out that my legs were exhausted from yesterday’s run! (Or perhaps I just had one of those extra tight fly wheels..) But it was so hard to push the pedals. I kept my resistance lighter than usual and backed off my intensity a bit and ended up having a great ride.

I told Chuck, the instructor, about my blog and he announced it during our class! Hello to Chuck’s cycle class readers!

I ended my workout with some PAINFUL foam rolling. I wanted to roll all day yesterday and didn’t have one, so during my workout I was craving a good roll so much. It HURT! I definitely have a knot in my left outer quad that I’m working on. And my calves were super tight too. I think I might need one of those at home to do it more often…

Breakfast – HUBBA HUBBA!

IMG_8819 (640x427)

IMG_8813 (640x427)

IMG_8805 (640x427)

I can already feel it happening – my taste for pumpkin is fading. This happens every year! I really think it’s physiological more than psychological. I think our bodies really know what’s in season. I opened my final hoarded giant can!

IMG_8803 (640x427)

IMG_8816 (640x427)

The Mix

  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp Bob’s Red Mill Apple Cinnamon Hot Cereal
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Splash milk
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • Pinch salt, vanilla cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin, stirred in at end

Toppings

  • 1/2 tbsp Coconut butter frosting (<—I am so very much enjoying moving this to the front of my cabinet!)
  • 1 tsp TJ’s pumpkin butter
  • 1 tbsp Justin’s Maple Almond butter
  • 2 tbsp Galaxy Granola

IMG_8815 (640x427)

IMG_8809 (427x640)

Help me out on this one – my body is too tired to think!

IMG_8812 (640x427)

IMG_8804 (640x427)

Watch out AT&T, here I come! [I now have them programmed as a favorite in my phone!]

Ugh that’s quite shocking that the issue is persisting this long. Have you any idea what’s causing the problem? I lived on an island for a year where I couldn’t get internet installed, or a phone line. I found that TOUGH! I haven’t had pumpkin in months. Not to diminish my love for it or anything, but once December is over I kind of forget it exists until August comes around. I love the mix of butters (both nut and coconut), that you’ve got going on in this amazing bowl of oats! I’ve yet to try coconut butter in my oats (I’ve tried it on practically everything else imaginable), and your post has inspired me to include some in my breakfast tomorrow.

I feel your pain about the internet outage — ours has been on the blink for a couple of days now. It’s irritating, but it’s no 2 or 3 weeks. 🙁 I’d be steamed too!
I’m sure you’ve run the gamut with customer service, but have you thought about telling them you’re only going to be paying part of this month’s bill for the service you actually did receive (so, only a week at this point)? We did this once with our cable company and suddenly, the problem was fixed.
It was magical. Money talks. So do blogs…wonder if they know you’re broadcasting your frustrations to all your readers who are probably telling other people about those troublemakers at AT&T…hmm ;). Maybe throw that in there, too.

They have already comped us some days for our outages 🙁 They are really nice! The problem just isn’t fixed!

I’m a very picky granola eater, mostly because it’s so calorie dense, but today I did some impromptu grocery shopping at the local health store and saw the Galaxy Granola I always read about on your blog. After checking out the nutrition stats I gave in and bought it. I couldn’t even wait to get home to try it, I opened the bag as soon as I got in my car. I got the Not Sweet Vanilla and loved it! I immediately called my Mom, who loves granola too, to tell her about it. She’s also a diabetic so the fact that this granola had only 4g of sugar per serving is great for her. Thanks so much for blogging about the granola so often!! I think I’ve found a granola I finally approve of!

You have nice neighbors. I wish mine would let me come over if my computer crashed.

That looks like a good filling cup of oats for a hard workout in cycle class. I made banana oats before my 2 hr. kickboxing class yesterday and the addition of banana gave me so much energy and was so filling. Now it’s going to be my Wednesday staple.

Get yourself your own foam roller. I have one at home and it’s a godsend. It’s a good activity to do in front of the TV and the rollers are not that expensive.

Woah, those oats look like oat heaven, probably the best combo, and the toppings look great. Your blog has really made me want to try Carmel Okios by the way, with all those yummy toppings for dessert<3

Buy the roller!!!! It was the best $20 I ever spent. My body thanks me every time I use the thing.
