Did You Hear That Pin Drop?

Foodblog-5083

Nothin’ going on around here. Absolutely nothing. Just some working, some reading, some lunch.

Foodblog-5082

I think the above is a wrap. Or maybe a soft taco? Perhaps a burrito, although maybe those have to have beans? Nah. It’s probably not a quesadilla, although there is cheese involved. A roll up perhaps?

What I do know it is: a whole wheat tortilla filled with cheese, hard-boiled egg, tomato, greens and salt. It was delicious and gone in 2 minutes!

Served with nectarine –

And some yogurt spiked with Jam According to Daniel cherry jubilee!

I read more of Jenna’s book on the porch with lunch – I received a complimentary copy from her publisher. It’s a lovely memoir, and I am especially enjoying it because I remember so much of Jenna’s journey as a reader of her blog (I clearly remember the pumpkin whoopie pies!) My only wish was that the book had hyperlinks to corresponding blog posts with photos because I have vague memories of so many of the tales she included and would love to reread them online too : ) I definitely feel like we get to know the true Jenna behind her blog in the book.

Hang in there! I was 2 weeks late with my first. Honestly, it was the longest 2 weeks because people kept asking me if I had the baby yet. I just wanted to wear a sign that said “Still pregnant!!” on it. I can’t imagine how you feel with the blog world waiting. Just keep comfort in knowing that he is healthy.

Yogurt with jam! You just gave me an idea. My mom dropped by this afternoon and gave me a bottle of homemade strawberry jam. I would like to do something different with it, and I guess I dropped by your blog at the right time. Thanks! 🙂

Hope you are not getting to anxious/tired of waiting for something to happen. How did the doctor appt go yesterday afternoon? I am looking forward to picking up Jenna’s book this week. I checked at B&N on Monday but they did not have it so I might have to order it directly from Amazon (it has been on my wish list for months).
    Lunch looked delicious, btw.

Is that tea you’re drinking there? I love a good tea, and recently a friend turned me onto this organic honey from Ghana, Africa. It’s called Aseda Raw Honey and I swear, it’s the most all-natural tasting honey I’ve ever had. I find myself using it with everything now. Breakfast. Lunch. Tea, of course. I think it’s worth checking out, and they have a great cause. I found them on kickstarter, so hopefully they’ll be on a shelf near you soon. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1964100669/buzz-aseda-wild-honey-to-shelves-nationwide

My buddha bowl from open sky arrived today and I am so excited to use it tomorrow for my morning oatmeal! yum 🙂

So, pretty much unrelated but would you weigh in on your opinion on the new study stating that (essentially) eggs are almost as bad as smoking? I’d love to get your thoughts.
