Beer For Dessert

Around 10:30, midway through a project, I looked outside and it was pretty and I got the urge to bike away ASAP. So I did! I usually push my workout back as far as possible so I can get as much done in the morning as I can (my most productive hours), but I have to say, it was so nice to be at the gym and not feel rushed by my hungry stomach and clock.

I actually did some hard-core weight lifting!! Imagine that.

Plus 30 minutes on the Stairmaster, which I really enjoyed.

I need to learn to plan my day better so I’m not rushing/hungry. Since my classes this semester start at 2PM, I probably will move my workouts back an hour to today’s timeline, so hopefully that will help. I just need to start getting up at  6:00 to get that hour back!

Lunch was fabulous and a mystery because it’s for my next Mushroom Channel post – should be posted soon!

I really enjoy having more "dinnery" foods for lunch, so I should plan that in more.

Munchy flax chips!

Since I ate lunch at 12:30 instead of 1:30, I’m sure I’ll be needing a larger snack. I’m already excited!!

***

Our kitchen is a beer factory at the moment – the boys are bottling their latest brew.

So for dessert I had a few sips of an India Brown Ale comparison tasting πŸ™‚

Dogfish Head India Brown Ale vs. Terrapin India Brown Ale.

DOGFISH WON!! It was richer and more roasted with a fuller body. Terrapin was too bitter for me.

I’m lucky to be going to BlogHer Food in September thanks to Nasoya and The Mushroom Channel‘s sponsorship, but after reading the details of the FoodBuzz Blogger Festival, I’ve got to find a way to attend both!! Anyone want to negotiate!?

Back to work!

I love the beer-filled kitchen. I’m worried for the day my fiance decides he wants to homebrew… It’s only a matter of time…. And then our house will be a beer factory too!

love the beer at lunch, and I like dinner-y foods better, too.

I know! I really want to go to the Foodbuzz Blogger festival, but the flights would just be too much for me. Hotel I could handle, but that + flights.

Since I’m in the market for a new dining room table, I just noticed how cute yours is! Where did you get it? We need to downsize from our 6 seater to a 4 seater.

I actually like dinnery foods for breakfast. I’m not much of a “breakfast foods” person, so I’ve been known to eat pasta for breakfast. Hey, there’s no rules against it! πŸ˜› hehe

Yay for lifting. You should post your lifting workout since so many women don’t do weights (or don’t do them properly) so I think that would be helpful for them.

    Lizzy ,
    They are Harris Teeter brand.

    BethT ,
Does your guest room come with chocolate on the pillow!?

    Faye ,
    Thanks – it’s Pier 1 circa 4 years ago.

    Lara ,
My lifting is so sporadic even I don’t remember. 10 of this, 15 of that, but I will try to remember the next time I do something cool. I am so scatterbrained with lifting.
