Be Careful What You Wish For

Everybody do the Friday dance!

this !

We’ve got a really exciting weekend event tomorrow – you’ll have to await in suspense!! It’s FOOD related 😉

I woke up to 20 minutes of Gentle Hatha II this morning. Ahhhhhh. I love yogaing before the sunrise.

Since Kelsey and I are working out after class, I needed a bowl to really fill me up. I used my magic combo of flax and walnuts. But be careful what you wish for – I’m stuffed! This bowl was awesome though.

IMG_0836 (1024x768)

  • 1/3 cup oats, milk, water, 1 small banana, pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1/2 cup + pumpkin
  • 1/3 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 1 tbsp walnut
  • Coconut butter flakes
  • Barney Butter spoon

IMG_0838 (1024x768)

A nice frothy French pressed coffee. I think I mastered my timing and pressing 🙂

Off to food lab! Wish we were doing something cool today, but I think it’s more measuring flour and stuff 🙁 Blah….

See you for a late lunch!

Happy Friday Kath! This looks like a particularly fantastic bowl of oats…I’ll definitely be trying the flax + walnut combo the next time I need a lot of satiety.
    Have a great day!

It seems like everyone is talking about yoga these days! I may have to actually break down and try it…I think they have a beginner class at my gym. If I don’t have a mat, is that a problem??

So glad it’s Friday!! Food related event? Always good 🙂

A friend of mine and his wife just moved to Charlotte, but I’m not sure exactly where in Charlotte. If you run into Austin and Brooke Light, that’s them!

    hi beauties,

    quick question:
HAS/DOES anyone take “VEGA” a vegan protein supplement?

If so – how/when do you take it? do you use it as a meal replacement?

    thanks

    happy weekend!

DaisyMay – Jalfrezi is typically a lighter Indian dish, and I’d just ask the restaurant if they can prepare any of the vegetable dishes with less oil to make them healthier. Unless they’re pre-made, that should help.

Kath- I know someone asked about the name of your green wall color, but what is the name of the yellow?!?! Its gorgeous and so is your decorating!

Have them email me! We’re always looking for new friends.

    Kori ,
Thanks for answering about BB 🙂

Do you mean the orange color?? The one in our living room? I’m not sure what it is – I can try to check if that’s what you mean. I don’t know if we have it left.

Pumpkin oats have changed my life! I am so glad you have all the wonderful oatmeal pics/ideas. I figure if I look at all this healthy food every day, it was get stuck in my brain and me what *I* want to eat. It’s working. I think I’ve had oatmeal 6 out of 7 days all winter! The pumpkin makes all the difference… plus, it’s a superfood.

    Thanks 🙂
