Bambooed

28 weeks (2)

Today’s the day that the Five Bamboo shirts go on sale at OpenSky! When Five Bamboo came to me with interest in collaborating on a t-shirt, "I Eat Real Food" was, of course, the perfect phrase to capture our healthy blog-reading world. I’m sure many of you "Eat Real Food on a daily basis – so share the message with your body! These were custom made of soft sustainable bamboo and come in two colors – coral and grey. Check out the back!!

imageimageimage

Note the shirt is not maternity – it’s just super soft and I’m wearing a large : )

Get yours here.

Check out this FALL weather!! The house was colder this morning than the AC I left on last night – so now all the windows are open! [High on Friday: 101!]

IMG_0702

You know when I walked into the kitchen PUMPKIN literally crossed my mind (and I don’t mean the cat!)

IMG_0687

It was definitely an oatmeal kind of morning!

IMG_0700-2

I made Scottish oats (steel cut blended in the Vita-mix to increase the surface area) with banana, chia and blueberries with a sprinkle of granola and Miss. Smart’s Cookie Dough Butter

IMG_0688

Plus coooooool [decaf] coffee!

Coolcoffee

I’d love to go out for a walk before my two calls this morning – hoping to squeeze it in!

Our current weather and hot, hot, hot forecast for the next week is similar…I wonder how long I can hold off on the A/C!

Adore the t’s! The bright coral is definitely your color, but unfort. not mine. I wish there was another option, but maybe I’ll just go for the neutral gray. Question: The fabric they use seems quite clingy, so under normal circumstances would you wear a small or x-small? (I ask b/c I’m prob. one size larger than your non-pregnant size, but I don’t like a super tight fitting t so I always opt for one size up and shrink if nec, but I don’t think you can put this in the dryer. Not sure if I should get a S or M.)

I had scottish oats for the first time this morning! I loved the creamy consistency.

I ground mine up in a coffee grinder (I only use this particular coffee grinder only for spices)

I don’t have a vita-mix, Do you think I can grind the steel cut oats in a regular blender or food processor?

Thanks Kath! By the way your pictures always brighten my day 🙂 your photography is beautiful.

Just ordered the shirt! The first time I saw it I knew I’d want it. I love the message! It’s a clear message/view point without being in your face about it.
However, it did make me realize why I don’t like to shop online–it is way to easy to add stuff to your ‘cart’ and enter your credit card information! I could easily spend up a storm without feeling the guilt of spending too much money at the store!
I think for this it was worth it, even though Tennessee (obviously where I live) now charges sales tax on Internet purchases! Boo!
