A Reason To Shower

Packing is moving along!!

There is nothing left on our walls –

IMG_4805 (640x427)

A HUGE con to being a food blogger is all the sample packing that goes to waste.

Well yours truly has been hoarding it for about 6 months now and I have SO MANY boxes and bubble wrap and air packs to use ๐Ÿ™‚

IMG_4808 (640x427)

I worked for 3 hours straight and finally had a good reason to shower: lunch out!

IMG_4826 (640x427)

We met a handful of friends at Terrace Cafe in SouthPark for lunch. Organized by Diana! Matt and I had a Groupon to use too ๐Ÿ™‚

Jessie (who we can barely see!), Diana, Emily, Casey, Matt and me – plus….

Sarah from Charlottesville and her sister Caroline as they trek across the country to Texas!

IMG_4814 (640x427)

Since we had $30 to spend, Matt and I got a hummus for the table. What a beautiful presentation!

IMG_4815 (640x427)

The hummus was delicious but the sesame pita chips were awesome!

IMG_4816 (640x427)

IMG_4819 (640x427)

Me x2

IMG_4820 (640x427)

For lunch I got an incredible salad topped with fruit (s-burries and apple) plus candied walnuts that were abundant and delicious and a piece of seared salmon that I’m 90% sure wasn’t Alaskan ๐Ÿ™

IMG_4828 (640x427)

Nevertheless, it was an awesome salad.

IMG_4824 (640x427)

I shared half of my salmon with Matt and stole 2 of his fried oysters! I love fried oysters ๐Ÿ™‚

IMG_4827 (640x427)

Friends!

Lunch –> Grocery shopping –> Brownie making for tomorrow’s Mother’s Day picnic.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go make out with a brownie batter whisk ๐Ÿ™‚

Moving is always cathartic with a chance to start over with fresh walls.

Glad you got to enjoy your time out with friends. Hunni and I love to share off each others plates and it allows us to get more variety.

    Kath,
    V. weird question: what is the green color on your dining room walls? I tried a half dozen greens in my bedroom and still don’t like the one I settled on. That color in the photo looks really nice!

    Hi Kath,

This is going to sound strange, but do you know the name of your paint color in your fire place room??? I am painting my whole house and I love that color – not too dark…not too light…

    Thanks!

You’ve obviously been busy packing- you’re quick!! When my family moved, it took us months to get everything packed and moved out. We slooowwwwlllly moved everything from one house to the next. And now we’ve been in the new house for years and there’s still unpacked boxes!! haha Anyway, this is the second time I’ve seen Groupon mentioned..sounds like somethin to check out!

To those who were asking about paint colors, the green in the dining room is from Lowe’s and called “La Fonda Olive.” I’m not sure what paint brand it is.

As for the fireplace room, no clue! It was that color when we moved in and we don’t have it!
