A Drop Of Golden Sun

^^ There are lots of those out today!!! Anyone else still humming SOM after yesterday’s Oprah!? The temps dropped significantly overnight and I think today is actually the quintessential fall day.

I lost my morning in yoga. It was a great class – but it was long and left me a bit drained! Normally I find exercise energizing, but I think I almost fell asleep during our 8-minute savasana! Good thing this lunch left me energized, because I have a lot of work to get done this afternoon.

I made a big salad out of garden greens and basil, dressed in a drizzle of olive oil and honey, topped with leftover chicken and POM ARILS! It’s been way too long since there was a POM in this house!

And on the side, a cup of leftover sweet potato soup with roasted veggies mixed in and a few almonds on top.

What’s your favorite note? Mine is LA, a note to follow So!!

You….cannnn…singgg most annnn-yyyy-thing!!!

Got to love the POM!!! Was just wondering if any of you out there have been plauged by the “Dog that wants to adopt you dilema” while you have been running? This happened to me today, and has happened before: You make eye contact with a freely roaming dog…it starts to follow you…you make the mistake of petting it….you try for about 45 mins. to get it to stay, go home, or find something that might distract it, etc. Today a little balck chiuaua was following me. I could not get the dog to stay or go home, so I tried to distract it with a terrible way….a roadkill rabbit (yuck!). This little dog started to drag the rabbit down the road with us?! Luckily my vet is not far from where we were, they knew the dog, and I went on my way…..so much for a peaceful, drama-free day off work, ha!

“DO” – DO a deer, a female deer, ray a drop of golden sun! I’m going to show my age and tell you that Sound of Music was the very first movie I ever saw in my whole life. My parents took me when I was a little girl and remember being afraid during the scene in the graveyard. Not because of the graveyard but because of the suspense! Great movie, great music, great ending 🙂

I don’t have any particular favorite solfege note in the major scale, but I go weak at the knees when I hear minor chords. Therefore, I love just about everything on the minor scale.

I’m sorry, my nerd is showing.
