A Classic

Can I just title every lunch post "Taste the Rainbow" or "Colorful Eats"!? I’m outta titles to describe the usual: salad, yogurt with mix-in, some kind of carb and a fruit!

 this !

Soooooo….

Salad!

Yogurt [Vanilla Bean Voskos!]

with mix-in [Kashi Cinnamon Harvest shreds]

IMG_4523 (640x427)

Crunchy carb [Food Should Taste Good crumbs!!]

IMG_4520 (640x427)

Fruit [S-burries represent!]

All the makings of another fantastic packed lunch. I’m 5.5 months into working full time and I’m not tired of packing lunches yet – something must be going right!

First of all, that’s an incredible first apartment!! I am living in my first out-of-college apartment now, but it’s not that spacious… love the lighting! (This apartment is, however, more spacious than the closet I was living in in NYC’s East Village!)

Also, I was wondering about your lunches… does the yogurt provide you enough protein to keep you satisfied?? I feel like I eat lots of whole grains and veggies and fruit but skimp on protein and am always looking for snacks… and I just want more fruit! Eeek!

I totally love your first apartment, oh gosh you shoulda seen mine. It was about the size of just your bedroom, but that’s what living in Toronto will get you.

I LOVE your furniture! Especially the living room! I’m looking at a bedroom set in a similar style, if only I can get money for it before it stops being made!

I’m trying to declutter our house right now. We’ve got excess mispatched pieces of cheap furniture that the hubs and I have acquired over the years. On Memorial Day I was able to dispose of several boxes of junk we had stored in our office closet. Now to get rid the extra wedding decorations!

Actually, we need more efficient storage, as well. Hmm.

    RE. APARTMENT:

Glad you guys think it was cute!!

It wasn’t fancy at all – just a 1 bedroom in an apt. complex in the ‘burbs of Charlotte. But I spent WEEKS combing through the apts to rent to find the perfect one 🙂

Our furniture was custom made for Karen in the 1990s and she gave it to us a year after living there. Our first furniture was all frat couches with slip covers!!

We did the bedroom paintings ourselves – a DIY for poor young people!

My first apartment out of college was my first time living alone, where I had my first dog, and where I fell in love while cooking many dinners for my fiance. Ohhh memories. 🙂
