Thunk

August 30, 2010

I *THINK* my pounding headache is about gone. THINK! It’s weird because I didn’t feel sick today or thirsty – just headache. We had no medicine in the house or I would’ve taken some!

This afternoon I worked away and required a snack:

YIAJJ

Yogurt In A Jam Jar

IMG_1870 (640x427)

The last of my Bella Eats blackberry jam, plus Oikos, chia seeds, and almonds. It was awesome!

IMG_1869 (640x427)

Speaking of Bella, we met for a walk this evening! We have so many topics to talk about that we’d gone 45 minutes before we knew it! Bella is very cool :-)

I didn’t return home till almond almost 8PM, so Matt and I had a low-key dinner.

IMG_1878 (640x427) (2)

And I missed the daylight and had to resort to 100% artificial lighting. Booo! I need a light studio this winter…

But we did break out the cloth napkins!

IMG_1879 (640x427)

And we invited a big lamp to share dinner with us!

IMG_1883 (640x427) (2)

To munch, we had leftover Smoky Bean Soup topped with avocado, greek yogurt and salsa

IMG_1873 (640x427)

IMG_1876 (640x427)

Plus a side of local green beans cooked in….coconut butter and Garlic Gold!! OpenSky representin’ – and these are two products that I buy from myself on a regular basis. Both have been life changing!! The coconuty "sauce" was sooo good. I’m obsessed with that stuff.

IMG_1872 (640x427)

IMG_1877 (640x427) (2)

For dessert…you’ll have to wait till the morning!

I’m working on some enhancements – a new KERF Favorites tab that will link to some of my favorite and noteworthy posts.

image

Including a whole page devoted to the Bears!! If you don’t know who the Bears are, you can find out all about ‘em there.

I think my headache is back.

Must…stop….thinking…

I don’t know if its the same where you live or not, but there are a *lot* of allergy problems going on right now. I wake up every morning feeling in a fog. Tired. Headachy. Drowsy. Blah!

Hope you’re feeling better soon. Headaches are seriously the worst!

Sorry about your headache — those are awful, especially when you can’t “cure” them with sleep, water or (in my case usually) caffeine.

I look forward to the KERF changes!

YIAJJ is an amazing innovation that I’m looking forward to at the end of my current blueberry jam jar :) I have been following your posts lately and an wondering how you strike a balance between your cardio training and yoga? I am a grad student so my schedule can be tight but I am trying to get my running milage up but also enjoy yoga for the stretching/flexibility/peace/sanity. I really want to get back into lean running shape but need my yoga too. Any suggestions?? Thanks so much :)

Lately I’ve been alternating days between yoga and running. I could just do those two for the rest of my life and be so happy! But I do prefer a bit more power yoga and less lay-on-the-floor types, so it’s a bit of a workout and not total rest.

I appreciate the info on the 3 bears after the apparent $h!+storm of comments that went down after I asked about the bears a while back. That was kinda awkward.

I’m gonna need a light studio too! I hate competing with the sun, esp. when it’s dark at 4:30pm!!! Love the hugh jass lamp you have on the table :)

That lamp is so romantic, lol
I love eating out of a jam jar so much more than a peanut butter jar. That super sweet bite at the bottom is just the best.

Could it be a lack-of-caffeine-headache? Those are the worst. I’m off caffeine now, but when I was on…boy, those were no fun. Water, sleep, nutrients…nothing could cure them but more caffeine! :)

17 Kath August 30, 2010 at 8:55 pm

Actually…maybe. I did skip a day of coffee this week. But I did drink a lot of wine!

Ditto to the allergy reference in earlier comments. The same headache problem happened to me on Saturday. It was awful. I had caffeine, ran, showered, napped…all the usual cures but nothing worked.

I know you all went wine tasting, but it could be allergies too.

My husband had seasonal type allergies when we lived in Ohio and I didn’t. I never had allergies in any of the places I lived. Then we moved to Colorado and a altitude of 5430 ft and now I have seasonal type allergies and he doesn’t have ANY!

I take a homeopathic remedy by Boiron called Sabadil and it helps me so very much.

I think it COULD be allergies – because it’s still here just a bit in the back of my neck. And I’ve noticed a bit of an on-and-off sore throat too. And we just moved to a higher altitude!
