There’s nothing I hate more than being rushed, especially when I want to enjoy a nice breakfast, so I made sure I had time for that this morning.

I planned a no-cook breakfast and made it last night, I made my lunch actually at lunch yesterday, I packed up my bags, and set my alarm with enough time to check email and blogs before getting into the shower.

So I had a nice morning!

Breakfast was even no-cleanup because I used the handy Oikos container as a bowl (NOTE: this is the 16 oz size!)

Last night I combined the rest of my container (~1/3 cup) with 1/2 cup of Mojamix (which has dates, figs and peanuts) and 1/2 a cup of soy milk (which I find sweeter than regular milk in overnight oats).

This morning I added a small ripe peach, half a banana, 1/2 tbsp each of chia seeds and flax seeds, and a spoon of Naturally Nutty White Chocolate Cherry Almond Butter.

The overnight section:

Tazo White Berry Tea – not a fan of berry flavored teas :(

To the dentist I go!! Wish my teeth good luck. I’ve got lunch packed and a workout bag packed because I’m planning to go straight there after work (or it might not happen at all ;) ) I might try out a new Y location for fun!

Happy Humpday folks!

Great looking breakfast!! I have to try that white chocolate cherry almond butter- sounds delicious!

Such a great idea to prepare everything in advance! I try to do that- sometimes I do well…sometimes not so well!

Good luck at the dentist. Have a great day!

I love taking the time to have a relaxed morning, your breakfast bowl looks good! Also, my boyfriend is coming up to Boston while I attend the summit. Are any other husbands/significant others attending (Matt? Mal? Ryan? etc) Perhaps they could all meet for beers or something while the rest of us are at our fancy cocktail hour. Just an idea! :-)

I hate being rushed, too, it always makes me so anxious! I get up an hour earlier during the work week than I *have* to so that I can relax in the morning.

Have a great day, sounds like you have a busy one.

I agree – there’s nothing worse than being rushed in the morning! I got up extra early today so that I could have a no-rush start to the day as well :)

Actually, our entire breakfast posts are kind of similar! Haha.

Great minds think alike I guess!

A leisurely breakfast in the morning is my favorite part of the day!

Good luck at the dentist! This probably makes me weird, but I really like dental checkups (as long as they don’t find cavities). I love how clean my teeth are when they’re over. :)

Hi Kath- hope all goes well at le dentist :)

I have a question for you regarding green smoothies….I am on the verge of purchasing some Amazing Grass but the one thing that is holding me back is that I really try to stay away from most anything processed (including breakfast cereals, bars, protein powders, etc) in an effort to fulfill my daily requirement with real, whole foods. The company claims some great benefits, but I’m always skeptical of anyone trying to make a buck. What’s your take on the benefits vs. the means? I am especially interested in your opinion because I know you have a similar take on food and nutrition/processed foods. Thank you!!

I am a no rush kind of girl myself. Tomorrow morning I have a flight at 6 AM, which means I am going to have to get up at like 3:30 AM to make sure I have enough time to get ready, and have a bite to eat before I head to the airport. This sounds like a great option for a quickie, healthy breakfast. Thanks Kath!

Also, I wanted to mention that I am having a MojaMix Giveaway right now on LiveWell360.com. I would be thrilled if you let your readers know that they have a second chance at winning a free bag o’ goodness. Thanks for the heads up on MojaMix, I am lovvving my concoction!

Megan (The Runner’s Kitchen),
Matt’s not going :( And I don’t think the others are either since we ladies will be so busy. But I’m sure your BF will have plenty to do with all the fun in Boston.

Holly ,
Honestly, I don’t really see any benefits to the grass. I didn’t feel a bit different. If anything you have more energy because you’re stomach isn’t full! I think they probably have a nice placebo effect though :) If I were you I’d spend your money on real greens like spinach in smoothies. The AG does have omega-3s and it is certainly GOOD for you, but I dont’ think it’s worth the cost long-term.
