We are having THE MOST GORGEOUS summer day!!!! It’s cool and breezy and like Autumn out there!! For this reason, I chose to pack my whole day in a bag and walk 3 miles to work.
The packing list
- Gazpacho for 2 (in a jar)
- Spoon
- Lunch (in a glass container)
- Fork
- Giant camera
- Wallet
- Phone
- Bakery clothes (socks, undergarments, shirt, shorts)
- Dress for tonight
- Shoes for tonight
- Different undergarments for tonight
- Shower gear
- Makeup
- Jewelry
- Keys
- Ice water bottle
- Sunscreen (on!)
- Sunglasses (on!)
- Visor (on!)
- Real Simple (in hands!)
The walk was wonderful, but my shoulders were tired despite wearing all the straps on my backpack!
At Body Pump, I packed it all on!! I really liked the new release music!! 3 awesome modern pop songs.
I was starving when I came home! No surprise.
I dug into leftover millet salad mixed with some leftover chicken and sweet potatoes. Tasted SO good !!!
Dessert was a spoonful of our latest Naturally Nutty shipment: CHOCOLATE SUNFLOWER butter!!! It’s amazing!!
Matt and I are headed to UPS to ship these packages out. Then back to prepare for tonight. Whew!!

Oo *chocolate* sunflower butter! I must try this!
We’re having a cool but sunny day too. So nice for a change!
I told you the new release (78–for BodyPUMP), is amazing!!
Glad you like it too!
And that is QUITE the packing list. Nice job. That is one bulging backpack….so good luck with everything today. And I guess, hope you didn’t forget anything. Hah!
Backpack and ALL weights at the gym! “Guns” of steel!
Wow, that’s a lot of stuff! Hope your shoulders feel better! Glad it was a nice day out for your walk!
OooO yayy I’m eating millet today for lunch too
wow Kath, you’re a master of packing–that backpack holds a lot~Oh and thanks for the reply to my gazpacho question! I shall try it sometime soon
Chocolate Sunflower Butter? OMG, Where can I get some???!!!
WHAT?! Chocolate sunflower butter exists?! That’s like heaven on earth!! I need to get some of that immediately!
Also – I texted my sister this morning to say “It feels like Fall outside!” It really does and it made me super excited for Fall. I love summer but Fall is by far my favorite season.
Well done on the packing job – I’m impressed your shoulders didn’t fall off
Awe you’re accidentally referring to the Bakery as “home” already. That’s a very good sign! I think…
I love walking everywhere! That looks like a great bag.
Chocolate sunflower butter eh? Lucky you
Great job packing all of that stuff with you! I remember in college how much my back and shoulders would hurt from hauling all of my big heavy books around campus. Although now that I type that, I kind of miss it!
How on earth did you fit all that in one bag!? Heck, you are GOOD!
Oooh, the chocolate sunflower butter sounds divine!!
Whew what a walk! My favorite lunches are leftover grains and roasted veggies. YUM!
Kath you are such an inspiration! I love seeing that you are so busy with the bakery and blog, but still stay healthy and fit in long walks or bringing your lunch to work
How on earth did you fit all that in your backpack?! You didn’t even need to go to Body Pump after carrying all that!
Whew girl, you could go camping with that shizz! It is beautiful here too, carpe diemmm <3
It’s a beautiful day here too, I’m itching for 5pm so I can go on my walk.
A 3 mile backpacking trip and weights? Rock on chica!
Lunch looked pretty awesome too
I <3 Sweet Taters
Sounds like you’re having some beautiful weather, and an equally great day
The weather is beautiful here, too! I’m lovin’ it.
That is a loaded backpack!! I’m shocked you fit it all in there.
Your lunch looks yummy. I love leftover sweet potatoes.
Chocolate sunflower butter sounds amazing! I’m impressed you were able to fit that long list of items all in that back pack!
Lugging all of that stuff around probably was a pretty good workout in itself! What a great way to enjoy the beautiful weather!
It definitely is GLORIOUS outside. So rather than hitting the gym after work I’m going to walk to the library and back…about 3 miles all around. Good enough for today!
This looks like my day every day!
I live in NYC and walk/ bus/ subway everywhere, and once I’m out of my apartment, I usually won’t get a chance to return until the end of the day, so I pack it all up and bring it with!
That is an impressive packing job! I used to have to pack bags like that all the time when I lived in Chicago, for my daily commute downtown (30 min on the train and about a mile of walking each way). I think your 3 mile walk in this gorgeous weather sounds much more pleasant though!
Leftovers are the best!
Chocolate sunflower butter sounds amazing!!
Depending on how often you’ll be sending stuff out, you might want to consider a UPS account to have the delivery person come to you!
The problem was in the boxes. We didn’t have any nor did we want to estimate how many we needed by pre-buying them
ah totally makes sense!!! once you know which ones you want though, you can order supplies as part of your account. depends on the size though I guess!!
the USPS ones are free.
The only thing with that is that UPS charges for pickups. It can be pricey if you do not ship a lot. Better off packing the boxes yourself then taking them to a UPS drop off to send out. A UPS account could save you some time. If you have a scale available you can weigh the packages and print the labels at the bakery. Then all you have to do is drop them off somewhere UPS picks up. Uline is a good source for packaging.
I did the new Bodypump release for the first time today and I really like it too, especially the biceps track! Although I don’t know how you went walking around with all that in your backpack after all those squats and lunges, my legs feel like jelly right now! Good for you!
Biceps was my favorite song!!
You guys must be having similar weather to us here in Maryland—I walked out of my house this morning and my first thought was, “It feels like FALL!” Loving it while it lasts ; )
Yah! Cant wait for my package to arrive!
Yay packages! That chocolate sunflower butter sounds really intriguing!
Wow, you packed a lot into your book bag! I need to learn how to do that myself.
I can’t wait for my package to arrive!!
Your lunch looks yummy!
I wish we could get a cool day but it is HOT here!!!
Oh man, that salad looks amazing. I want to dig into it right now. And wait, chocolate sunflower butter?????????? That sounds like a dream come true!
jesus chocolate sunflower butter. how could that not be amazing?
CHOCOLATE SSB!?!?!? OMG that sound incredible!
Wow, the chocolate sunflower butter sounds amazing!
good luck with your errands and your snacks and eats look delish!
choc sunbutter?
I make my own chocolate coconut cashew butter. I have a recipe for it. It’s actually very similar to the nut butter I use to coat my kale for chocolate coconut kale chips. Pretty much chocolate + nut butter is right up my alley. And SFSButter is my fave nut butter
I am confident that if I had put on the loaded back pack I would have fallen over.
It’s happened before!
I hope you brought some sort of hiking stick with you because that is quite a lot of stuff!
Good tracks always make such a difference in Body Pump…or any class for that matter!
You must have felt like Quasimodo with that pack!
Your weather sounds like our here in Seattle! And sweet potatoes are always a great idea on days like this
Chocolate sunbutter? I am going to have to keep my eyes open for that!
And a random side note, I was just looking at recipes on eating well and an advertisement of you for open sky popped up!
Considering sunflower butter has been my favourite for months, and I love chocolate… *swoon*
Talk about carrying everything but the kitchen sink on your shoulders

How on earth did you fit all that in there? It must be magical, like Mary Poppins’ bag!
I made chocolate sunflower seed butter once and devoured it in one night. LOVE sweet and salty together!
can’t WAIT for the new Body Pump. Our launch is this Saturday.
We have that same crispy air right now and I absolutely love it. I’m sure it made for a gorgeous walk despite the mary poppins backpack you were carrying. I have no clue how you fit it all from the sounds of it!
I wish I could walk to work like that. Especially today. It felt so good here to. After yesterday’s intense heat it was a wonderful break!
When you say Real Simple in *hand*, I’m imagining a 3-miler Mr. Younger style
Hahaha, Hi Kirst!! That’s exactly what it was!!
ooooh i am totally trying that salad idea
I can’t wait to try to new BP release!!! But I’ll be out of town for our gym’s party unfortunately. Have a safe trip!
Wow, can’t believe you fit all that in one backpack! And then you still did weights!
