I’m all packed up and about to embark on a journey!
But first, overnight oats! [Always my go-to quick breakfast with no time to make and no dishes to do!]
1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup greek yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, strawberries, half a banana, chia seeds, cinnamon all soaked together overnight in the fridge.
This morning I microwaved for 26 seconds to take the chill off and added a scoop of Sunbutter and a tiny bit of TJ’s Cookie Butter!
Hot diggity tea
I’m going somewhere southern, but the forecast isn’t as warm as this mountain town I live in. Go figure! See you this afternoon!

Ok, now I’m curious as to where you’re going. See you when you get there!
Cookie butter! I’m so frustrated I don’t currently have a jar of it!
Cookie butter sounds delicious!
I love that mug too! Have safe travels today!
I looked at Trader Joe’s last time I was there and couldn’t find the famous cookie butter! Another trip may be in my near future..
Can’t wait to hear where you are going!
my TJs just started carrying it THIS week, definitely check back
Overnight oats is my weekday go-to because it’s just so easy! Love that mug!
Overnight oats are definitely quick and easy in the morning. I find that I make them… even if I am not in a rush because they are just one of my favorite breakfasts!
Are you sure that is breakfast? It looks more like a decadent dessert!
yummy! I love overnight oats, I think they taste so much better than cooked. The just seem naturally sweet without adding much to them. Beautiful breakfast for a beautiful day. You may like my cake batter tofu topping, it it kind of reminds me a whipped oats.

Have an awesome day.
I agree, it seems like a perfect day for tea! Its raining cat and dog out here in Ohio. I still need you help me get over my phobia for Oats, although you make it look so pretty. For that reason, I just want to try it.
Those are super cute dishes you’re rockin’ this morning girlie! Safe travels and hope you have a great time!
This is making me miss overnight oats! Haha I traveled from Chicago to Colorado this week and it’s warmer in Chicago! So annoying, but so much prettier here! Have a safe trip!
Larbs spilled the beans re: destination on her blog! Have fun in the sand
Hahah good point!
i had overnight oats with cookie butter this morning too, so delicious!!!!
Enjoy the trip
Safe travels!
I can’t wait for the weather to get a bit warmer up here so I can try some overnight oats. Just can’t do it when temps are as cold as the fridge. Bbrrrr. Come on SPRING!
Dang that bowl looks amazing! Makes me miss good yogurt. Dairy free just does not cut it for me. Have a great day Kath!
Where do you find TJ’s cookie butter? Hope you’re feeling ok today Kath
have a great one
“TJs’” derr nm
Do you have a belly band? It kept me in my regular clothes until 20 weeks. It’s a life saver in avoiding spending money on multiple seasons of maternity clothes.
I wore it briefly, but I find maternity pants to be so much more comfortable. If you don’t have the money, there seem to be lots of clothing swaps and Goodwill options or friend borrowing might be an idea.
Gah. That looks like a PERFECT bowl of overnight oats! I can’t wait until my Easter fast is over and I can have Greek yogurt again!
Once again, your breakfast looks ridiculously delicious!! Hope you enjoy wherever you’re heading to this afternoon
Have a fun and adventurous trip!

CUTE mug!! Wishing you safe travels!
Have a good trip!
I still have yet to find the cookie butter at my TJs and have only tasted it in the form of their chocolate bar that has it in the middle. In better news though, I’m down to maybe one more spoonful of TJs sunflower butter… and you know what that means! (Silly that I actually look forward to things like that- but you get it!!)
Have a good trip! I’ve never tried microwaving overnight oats – just never occurred to me! Good idea for a chilly morning.
Loving the bumble-bee mug! Have a fun trip!!!
I haven’t been able to find cookie butter and I’m so sad!!
Safe travels!
Have fun on your trip and hope the weather improves. Nothing like traveling further south to get worse weather.
Cookie butter….it’s a beautiful thing!
safe travels, kath! i’m finally ready to reintroduce overnight oats now that warmer weather has arrived. yay!
Looks yummy, what is cookie butter?
A Trader Joe’s product like Biscoff
Love the mug!
Hi! I”m a relatively new reader and am just curious about your overnight oats, do you boil them first and then put them in the fridge? I love your add ins, they would be a great change up to our normal pot we make each week.
Thanks! Enjoy your trip south! It’s beautiful this week in Denver, we are all enjoying the spring weather b/c you never know when the snow will come again!
Welcome! The oats are “raw” and cook overnight in the fridge. Just stir ingredients together and let sit for a few hours
Oh, thanks for sharing that!! I can’t wait to try that out.
I’m going to post a quick fun trick that I heard about but never did when I was pregnant. This is for when Baby KEFF is much bigger but chase it w/ an ice cube or a toy car over your tummy…..
I have been having your overnight oats each day for breakfast for the past 8 days. I can’t tell you how much better I feel! They are filling, delicious, and I definitely don’t find myself wanting to snack as much between breakfast and lunch. Thank you so much for introducing me to this healthy and great way to have breakfast. I am trying to become healthier both in the way I eat and in the exercising more and I really enjoy your blog.
Glad you like ‘em!
Kath – I’m digging your bee mug.
Your oats look really great. I need to do the overnight oats more often!
I had almost the exact same breakfast (minus the strawberries) this morning. But as always, yours looks so much prettier!
I love your bowl SO much! The overnight oats looks awesome, too, but that’s probably one of the cutest bowls I’ve seen!
I like how the yogurt is taking over the color there. Looks delicious!
I’ll be in CLT tomorrow afternoon! Hollar if you pass through!
Darn I’m on the other end of the state!
I absolutely love strawberries in my oatmeal. This looks so delicious, Kath!
Good morning (or good afternoon)! I am loving the new stove and sun porch as well. Everything so clean and tidy. Very impressive! My front porch is a Total Disaster right now…
Have a great trip! I love all your cute coffee mugs!
Do you know how many calories are in the overnight oats that you made here?
Thanks!
Hmmm quick math:
Oats = 100 for 1/3 cup
Yogurt = 60 for 1/3 cup
Milk = 60 for half a cup
Chias = 30 for half a tbsp
Banana = 50 for half
Strawberries = 50 for 5 big ones
Nut butter = 150ish
= About 500 calories
I love overnight oats when they’re super soaked in almond butter and almond milk. YUMM
Cookie butter! Wish Whole Foods in Tampa carried something like this… can you believe they don’t?! What kind of nonsense is that?
thank you for responding so quickly! love your blog
I had a very similar breakfast this morning! Oats with chia seeds and strawberries! Although mine were not overnight. Overnight oats are one of my favs- think I’ll be making some tonight!
Hi Kath….I have to tell you I watched your basic oatmeal how-to video last night…the one with bananas, falx, walnuts, etc…I tried it this morning. It was so delicious! I’ve been dreaming about it all day and I was tempted to make a bowl tonight for dinner. So so yum! I’ve been an oatmeal fan all my life and usually have it with walnuts, raisins and brown sugar. I can’t wait to have another bowl tomorrow morning! Thank you! Enjoy your blog!
So glad to hear this!
This looks so yummy! I can’t wait to try it myself!
This is actually quite a great idea for people on the go. No fuss, and the ingredients are easy to find in the house, and to top it off, it sounds like it would be absolutely delicious.
Yum yum yum! Now I wish I had prepped ONO’s last night
