Happy Early Valentine’s Day!
When you have a muffin like this, you must seize the moment no matter what the holiday status.
Enter Chocoberry Coconut SIAB!
The ultimate Valentine’s smoothie in a bowl!
The Smoothie
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 banana
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 2 tbsp Vega Choc-a-lot
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
The Frosting
- Crumbled Great Harvest White Chocolate Chocolate Raspberry muffin
- Coconut
- Coconut butter
The muffin pieces were super doughy – this was fabulous!
And FYI, Matt heated the coconut butter in a pot of hot water on the stovetop to soften it for drizzling like in this post.
Coffee completed the rich flavors
Guess what happened last night!?
Snowfall!!!
But too bad for the kiddos…

I could do without any more snow. we’ve gotten way more than usual here in St. Louis. I definitely brought the snow from Detroit when I moved!
That muffin sounds ridiculous! Breakfast looks delicious today. Thankfully we don’t have much snow in the forecast and it’s actually supposed to be -2C on Sunday which is almost tropical for us in Ontario! Have a great day Kath!
Mmm, chocolate, cherry, and coconut reminds me of German Chocolate cakes. Definitely a good thing to wake up to.
I am having serious breakfast envy. I am absolutely swooning for that chocolate! Beautiful Trekkie, Kath!
Sounds delish!
Love the slippers, I have the same pair. Though mine look a lot more ‘worn in’, thanks to my pup!

Kath, this looks incredible!
We had a light dusting last night, but it didn’t stick and it is supposedly warming up to the fifties this weekend. So maybe you guys will, too.

That breakfast looks amazingly tasty. Fruit + chocolate = always a win!!! haha. I bet it was filling too!
Poor kids! We got snow too, but down here in Mississippi even 2 inches is a big deal, so no class today!! I’m so thrilled to have a day off!
Looks delicious!!!!
Your breakfast looks ridiculously good! I’m loving the rich purple and brown colors.
Perfect celebratory breakfast! I was really dragging this morning because of so much energy spent on cheering our boys on – def. a strong coffee morning. Rip ‘em up! Tear ‘em up! Give ‘em hell! Duke!
Yep!

Oh my gosh, that might be the most epic breakfast ever!

I don’t think there’s ever a bad time to celebrate love
.
Wow that’s a muffin, I want one.
The muffin looks nice and moist. If I had them in my house, I’d have a serious muffin addiction problem.
We got snow in D.C. too. Just a sprinkle though. I’m over the snow.
Go Carolina! (sorry, my fiance is a UNC guy)
That muffin looks great! Have fun in the snow.
holy shit. sorry to curse, but that muffin.
I experienced the goodness of muffins in oatmeal a few days ago. What took me so long?!
I could get use to waking up for such decadence early in the wee hours of mornings ;D
Your SIAB looks fabulous– I love berry-chocolate- coconut combo. NOt only in smoothie form, but oats, and cereal, too! Have a good day and enjoy the snow
I’m ready for spring! Hopefully that’s the last bit of snow.
The SIAB looks so yummy! Perfect timing for Valentine’s day! I ran out of coconut butter and miss it, must get some soon!
I thought you were going to say the snow was melting and I was going to rejoice. Instead, I’m a little sad.
Chocolate and cherry were meant to be together!
Ohh that smoothie in a bowl looks spectacular!! The muffin on top looks delicious!
Food blogs + a sweet tooth = disaster! I’m sooo craving a muffin now
Nothing against you, but, for the record, Dook still sucks. Go Heels!
That breakfast looks like a dessert! But from the ingredients, I can tell it’s a breakfast
Yummy!! It snowed in NC last night too, but only a little flurry. There are still a few signs of it in the shade but everything else has cleared!
What a beautiful, beautiful breakfast! Though I think I would’ve thought so even without the four billion photos
I love having muffins to incorporate into breakfast! I actually prefer to crumble them into things than to just eat them plain.
holy yuuummm!

I love your morning pictures, so pretty! Love the chocolate SAIB in the red bowl, early valentines treat!
This is my first comment. I love your blog! I also have those same exact bowls!!!!! There’s something amazing about eating from a square bowl… just love it!
