With Spring

Comes…

SUPER green grass*

IMG_7657Blog

*photo edited for naked eye effect 🙂

Also little ants have crept into my house

this !

And rainy days aren’t quite so sad with birds chirping and flowers blooming

But despite the warmer weather, hot oats sounded great.

IMG_7659Blog

Served up this morning…

IMG_7664Blog

Coach’s Oats whipped with banana, milk, water and chia seeds. Stirred with cinnamon and vanilla. Topped with Uncle Sam, Sunbutter and Seven Keys Coconut Spread that a blog reader sent me from Parkesdale Farm! It melted in and provided coconut essence throughout.

IMG_7662Blog

Earl Gray!

IMG_7661Blog

And springtime noises.

Annnnd you just reminded me we need to caulk under the siding in front of the kitchen! We get those dang ants every year. Terro Ant Baits (the liquid kind) work awesome because they take it back to the colony but waiting for that to happen stinks and gives me the heebie jeebies!

I was just going to write to get Terro. I like it when they form a perfect circle around the Terro.

This post makes me happy. And hungry.

    I love the ants!

There’s something about the smell or the sounds of spring that make it oh so exciting. 🙂 Eeeeek! By Easter I’m walking around with a perma smile on my face! I think it’s the tulips or the daffodils.

i’m wishing it looked more like spring out our window right now… this morning it looks more like the middle of january with a bunch of snow on the ground! a random storm decided to sweep through northern utah this weekend, but fortunately it’s supposed to melt off and be warm again in a couple days. 🙂

Ugh, I’m dreading the return of the ants. Every summer they creep into my apartment and find any crumb left on the floor. It was so nice waking up this morning to the sounds of birds chirping – inspired me to get out of bed and walk to the gym!

This is the time of year I really wish I lived about 5 states south so we’d have some flowering trees like you guys right now. Only thing of color are my daffodils so far but it’s coming…soon! Hopefully today’s 80 degree weather will help those buds along!

Oh Kath! Your post just reminded me! When I was pregnant, (nearly 10 years ago now) we lived in a duplex that was plagued by ants! I was growing a baby and working and these ants were HAUNTING me. Every morning I’d wake up and they would have attacked over night, they even got inside the refrigerated! Inside! I had that place soooo clean but they still came, and they came in armies. They’d swarm the floor. They got INSIDE the peanut butter jar INSIDE the fridge. Ugh! Even after the exterminator came there were ants. Ugh, I’m getting agitated just thinking about it! 🙂 I’m certain I now have an ant phobia. 🙂

Ughh, I am hoping we don’t have any ant problems! I saw a ton of them on the sidewalk when I was walking around my neighborhood the other day. They better stay far away from my house!
I am loving the colors outside, but lawn needs some serious TLC. It’s still so dead from “winter!”

You have such an early spring! We’ll still get snow at least 3 or 4 times this year, spring doesn’t start until at least mid-april! March is still considered winter!
