Wilted

I went to cycle class this morning and worked up a great sweat that left me wilted as a piece of old lettuce. Pineapple for the rescue! (Plus a handful of almonds)

IMG_1072

I pile is accumulating by the door. I don’t really mind packing things, but I can’t stand how MUCH stuff I have to bring places. I’m trying to keep things grouped and organized for this trip. Karen, Matt and I are taking two cars to fit it all (against my protest that I would gladly sit in the back seat with 2 coolers of kegs and beach chairs..) but it seems 2 cars is necessary.

IMG_1082

The recreational equipment (plus a fan for mom)

IMG_1083

My portion of the pantry staple foods (Karen has a cooler full of more!)

IMG_1084

Clothing. Shoes + toiletries in another bag!

IMG_1085

Beach gear. (Chairs already in car)

IMG_1086

I will have to call Larbs and make sure she has packed her NEW ENGAGEMENT RING! Congrats to the newlyweds to be, who are now planning a beach wedding for next summer! Beaches just ring in the celebrations! There will be lots of [sparkling water] cheers this week to celebrate.

It’s one of those days when I just didn’t really want anything for lunch.

IMG_1078

I made a quesadilla (using up the tortillas this week!) with chicken, cheddar and jalapenos

IMG_1081

Loved on some cherries

IMG_1077

And did not eat this salad. Does it look simple and gross to you? Because that’s how it tasted..

IMG_1074

Water fruit of the day: lime!

IMG_1079

Ultrasound time. I’m nervous.

Hope all goes will with the ultrasound! Oh, and I just read Larbs’ big announcement! 2012 is turning out to be quite the year for the Youngers–first a baby on the way, and now a wedding to plan (:

Only when you start packing you start realizing how much stuff you actually nned! That salad looks simple, but definitely not gross, but very fresh instead, you should’ve add a fried egg on top, and I am sure it would’ve been delicious!

Oh my gosh…CHEERIES! I love cheeries! When my eldest son was younger, and he had such a limited diet due to food sensitivities and allergies…cheeries were the one fruit that he could tolerate and loved at this time of year…no matter the cost, I was buying them! I would have tellers look at me strangely when the gigantic price would pop up on their cash register…they had no idea that cheeries were ‘priceless’ to me! The look on my son’s face when I would present them to him…he would literally light up…how do you put a price on that!

Just think of all the preparation and stuff you will need to pack for vacation when you have a baby in tote 🙂 I always get concerned that I will forget stuff when packing for our daughter when we go on vacation. However, there is usually a Walmart nearby whereever we are, unless we are in a very remote location. It is amazing how many Walmarts there are out there! I think they might have the most stores.

Do you think Baby Younger/Monson will be in your sister’s wedding? You could push him down the aisle in some sort of really nice stroller 🙂 I wanted my niece to be pushed down the aisle in a pretty stroller at our wedding, but it did not happen, which was perfectly alright with me.

Just wait till you have to bring baby stuff!!! 🙂
Everywhere you go tends to seem like packing for a vacation when a new baby is in tow. But, it is so much fun. You seem so organized that I am sure you only pack when you need, and once you are there and need it, you will be glad you packed it. When we go camping I pack everything, including the kitchen sink! I love to know that if I need something I have it.

Have a wonderful trip, we will be happy to hear the updates.
