What’s With Wednesday?

Somebody just fill me with Synergy ’cause I’m countin’ down to the weekend.

IMG_5134 (640x427)

Lately I haven’t wanted snacks in the afternoon – just liquid energy, which is weird because I have never been one to want to drink my calories. But on my commutes home all I want is a mocktail with juice or a glass of wine or this Kombocha I bought a week ago and have been saving. First time trying the Synergy flavor at Ashley‘s recommendation and I loved it! I think this craving is one part heat of summer and one part not having a workout to fuel for which means dinner around the corner.

The Corner.

Cleanin’ out the pantry:

IMG_5158 (640x427)

Annie’s Mac n Cheese mixed with sautéed zucchini, broccoli and bell pepper. And dotted with hot sauce that blended on in. This took me right back to elementary school watching Full House at 5:00!

IMG_5157 (640x427)

IMG_5150 (640x427)

Sneaky Rosanna spoon is back for another taste!

IMG_5156 (640x427)

Boring ole water in a really fun glass!

IMG_5155 (640x427)

IMG_5148 (640x427)

I’m off to

  • Digest
  • Fold laundry
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Read in bed
  • Sleep

Nite!

Hey Kath! I am a long time blog follower and a first time commenter! I was just wondering – do you eat snacks after dinner? I’m struggling with staying full for more then 2 or 3 hours after eating and I was wondering if your dinner keeps you going through the night?

I saw your question and had a few tips that have worked for me.

I always brush my teeth after I eat dinner, it sends a message to my tummy to stop eating. I have also tried drinking some herbal tea and that has helped also.

Maybe you could try adding more protein to your dinner? Protein keeps you full the longest 🙂

A lot of the time I just have a bite of some chocolate or something – nothing substantial to blog. But if I have a real snack that’s eaten with a utensil, I’ll mention it on here, so the answer is not really. I go to bed pretty early so I don’t have much more time to get hungry. If I ate at 6 and went to bed at midnight, I probably would need a snack every night. Another advantage to sleeping 8 hours – less time to get hungry! (And less hungry hormones too)
