Vibrant For Friday

IMG_8989-2Blog

Feeling vibrant today? My lunch was. I am now that I have showered after Body Pump : ) Fun class today (with good music!) I felt particularly rounded when I looked down (you know you’re pregnant when you hit your stomach with the bar on a clean + press!). Katherine said I was looking rounder too! Must be the big 2-0 weeks!

Back at the fort, I made a salad for lunch. I’m liking this cheese + beans + lemon hummus + lemon juice combo this week! The greens are actually a new Earthbound kind – I believe it’s called Mighty Greens mix? It’s a mix of baby greens that are still tender but also chewy and flavorful. Only good with lemon juice!

On the side, I felt adventurous and microwaved a sweet potato. This is only half because it was a giant one! Topped with cinnamon, a sprinkle of brown sugar and a few dabs of butter. ‘Twas dessert!

IMG_8981-3Blog

I have a chiropractic appt this afternoon and then am preparing for another nutrition talk I’m giving tomorrow first thing.

Happy Friday!

Every time you post a photo of those beans and that cheese, my mouth waters a little bit.
Have they launched the latest release for BP at your gym yet? I’m teaching it in one week for our big launch! I’m nervous, but excited (it will be my first time teaching for the launch!).
Oh- and it’s awesome. The biceps are KILLER. And the abs.

I would never, ever do a fast. Your body needs all of the essential nutrients, and juice can’t provide them all. And your liver is excellent at detoxification!

I was thinking the same thing – I thought the beans were nuts!

Sweet potatoes are so yummy! I like to bring a potato to work for a quick lunch that I can cook in the microwave in 5 minutes. With a just a touch of cinnamon it’s perfect!

Love all the colors in that lunch! And the salad look incredible… I always love salads when someone else makes them for me, but can never seem to make them look appealing on my own haha.

My son actually prefers sweet potato over regular potato in his homemade chicken soup…my other son, who despises all veggies, loves the broth…he made a surprising comment yesterday by stating that the broth tastes better the next day…’yes, dear…that would be the yummy flavours of the veggies!’

When you put lemon juice, or a mixture of lemon juice + olive oil, or what have you, how much do you put on or how do you measure it out? I really do not like salad dressings at all, I don’t know why! But I’ve been thinking that something simple like you do would be much better so was wondering what exactly it IS that you do? 🙂

I need to make an appointment for a chiropractic adjustment. I am either sleeping wrong at night, or the baby is in a position that is putting me out of alignment or something, which is making me feel like I need adjusted.
