Tofu x2

FREEZING again in here!!! I was fine in class in this same building and went and got some hot water from the coffee shop next to my building to make tea (thanks to your recommendations to bring a tea bag and my reusable cup!). But now that I’m back inside and finished lunch, I’m frozen solid. Maybe they turn on the AC at noon everyday?

I got some work done and then settled into my lunch around 12:30. Breakfast didn’t hold me over as well today 🙁 I really think oats just have the magic touch.

A BBQ Tofu-Laughing Cow-Spinach-Cholula Sandwich on a Food For Life Bun. The husband brought home this BBQ tofu from the first round of his tofu cooking demo yesterday and I slapped it on a sandwich before you could say “Kath Eats tofu.” Then I realized this is what I am going to have for dinner tonight since I’m attending cooking demo round II! Oh well – it was good and I’m sure it’ll be good tonight too 🙂

These buns are pretty tough and usually benefit from a 10 second trip in the microwave, but on campus I just have to chew my way through (which I love, but others might hate).

I found out this morning we don’t have our early class on Thursday so I get to eat lunch at home!!!!!!!!!!!

I am off to try to get my fingers to un-purpleize.

Hope you’re warmer soon – I drink so much tea at work to stay heated 🙂

The BBQ tofu looks good enough to eat twice in a row. Enjoy tonight!

What a surprise! I just finished reading the morning blog and after reading the comments I found your lunch post–at first I thought it was a mistake! Your lunch looks delicious and BBQ tofu sounds amazing.

I love your titles. You said it’s hard to come up with them, so I imagine you write the blog and then sit there for a while thinking of titles 🙂

Mmmm BBQ tofu! I drink tons of teas at work too to keep warm too. It’s funny, some of the girls in my office have space heaters under their desks, while alot of the guys have fans blowing on them. Guess it’s easier to stay warm when you’re not wearing a dress!

    Hey Kath,
If your blog software has the feature, I think a poll would be a great addition to the blog. I know many bloggers do informal polls, but the responses are shuffled in with the comments and I think it’d be great to have a clickable actual poll feature that allows for multiple choice answers only (the comments section can allow for the write in responses) and then gives statistical feedback. Obviously not all questions would be suitable for that sort of poll and are indeed better served by the open ended (questions like what’s your favorite ___ or how do you do _) but there are some questions that I’d love to see hard numbers on. Some suggestions: How often do you read blogs? (and then you could maybe say 0-30 minutes a day is A, 30 min to an hour is B, and so on). What do you do while reading blogs? (a few common things plus an “other” choice) Oh oh one I really want to know is “How many blogs do you read a day, on average?” I’m tempted to add “What percentage of you believe that kath has worn her HRM while her and Matt….lie with each other in the biblical sense?”….but let’s keep this blog with the PG rating 🙂 (I’m sorry.)

Thanks and have a great day!

I just bought tofu over the weekend, and I think I’ll give this a shot tomorrow for lunch, although I have a mustard vinegar based bbq sauce – yum!

The vent over my desk kicks on at 3:30 every afternoon and blows cold air right on top of me. So far they haven’t been able to fix it, so I end up putting a throw over my shoulders – and it could be 70 degrees outside my window!

    Have fun at EarthFare!

Kath your lunches always make me want seltzer water!

In other news, I haven’t read the comments on here in months and don’t know if this has been posted here: but if any of you want a $2 Kashi coupon, all you have to do is register for an account on their website! 🙂

Do you or any of you readers ever get cold after eating? I’m just wondering if that is what is happening rather than them turning the air on at noon. Since I’ve lost weight I notice I get really cold after I eat, my nails turn purple too.. I can’t figure it out besides the blood goes to your stomach but it seems crazy that it would make me that cold. Any ideas??

    Kath,
I saw this morning at Target they they have Pumpkin Spice trail mix! It was soooo good. Two different nuts, lil graham crackers, and yogurt covered rasins. It had pumpkin spices on each one! I believe it was Archer Farms Brand.

I usually get really cold when I’m super hungry AND then again right after I eat. My doctor said it was completely normal but to just have a midmorning and midafternoon snack to help that from happening.

    Crystal ,
I’ll look into it. I don’t think I could do many because it would be a lot of work, but I agree polls would be a fun addition perhaps once a week.

    val ,
    Thanks for the FYI!

    Ashley C.,
I didn’t make the eating connection, but that could be it. I have low blood pressure so maybe my circulate is all going to my stomach?

    SarahH,
    Sounds delicious!

    ModelBehavior ,
Wait until you read tonight’s post!! But I did have Micro this week of fall break 🙁

    Candy ,
    I was wearing a sweater!

Yeah, I’ve heard it’s pretty common for people to get cold after they eat, so it must not be too big of a deal, but I do have low blood pressure as well so maybe that has something to do with it, I dunno but something to pay attention to/ponder!
