You are here: Home / Weekend / To The Wayside

June 12, 2011

To The Wayside

All plans for shopping fell to the wayside when I got stuck cleaning the house. I didn’t mean to!! I really meant to go shopping. But when I finished unclogging our shower drain at 11:45 it was a little too late for a full day of shopping and lunch at home.

Shorts can wait. It’s not like I don’t have some I can wear all week.

I did make it to Disneyland though:

IMG_1146-2Blog

I just picked up some fruit (3 kinds of berries, peaches, bananas!) and a few veggies (corn, mushrooms, pepper!) plus Vanilla Soy Milk for a fun change. I get soy milk every 10th milk or so for fun. I do love the taste.

IMG_1147-2Blog

When I got back home I was hungry and ready for a Hugh Jass salad featuring all kinds of leftovers.

IMG_1153-2Blog

IMG_1150-2Blog

Garden lettuce, spinach, slaw, salmon, maytag blue cheese (not my favorite..), Dakota bread croutons – lots to munch!

IMG_1156-2Blog

Dessert was a bowlful of burries

I’m spending the day on the couch watching SYTYCD – hours and hours of it! I LOVE this show!

My favorite shows of all time in order:

  1. Gossip Girl
  2. House Hunters
  3. SYTYCD
  4. Property Virgins
  5. The Office
  6. Glee
  7. 30 Rock
  8. Selling New York

The couch is fun!! All plans for our afternoon hike just got thrown to the wayside as well when a big thunderstorm rolled through and the Doppler doesn’t look like it’s going to clear up at all.

Guess I’ll have to stay glued to the couch!

Oh wait, Faith just called and she’s coming to watch with me – so I’ll get in 10 minutes of walking to meet her halfway!

I love days like that…when you don’t have much you really need to do, so you can just do the things you love. Today’s one of those kind of days for me, too.

I love 30 Rock! I’m going through all of them now on Netflix, and I’m still on season one. Such a funny show.
