To Grandmother’s House I Went

I made it! I-66 and 495 were pretty awful, but thankfully I arrived in just over 3 hours.

Smotey the dog could not hold still for our Three Generation photo!

Lunch for the road! Made by my loving husband in my flurry this morning

IMG_5310Blog

Great Harvest bread, spinach, pumpkin butter + sharp white cheddar. It works. Don’t ask : )

IMG_5309Blog

IMG_5307Blog

I ate it in the car – somewhere between I-70 and the Baltimore beltline while jamming to Christmas music.

IMG_5332Blog

I also packed an apple, which I ate when I got to Grams, along with a piece of cake for dessert!

IMG_5336Blog

My grandmother rested this afternoon while Mom and I paid a visit to our favorite Towson landmark: the huge Towson Town Center Mall! I got a few sweaters for Montana – all of Banana was 40% off today!!

Mom and I are headed back to Gram’s for…Manhattans!!

I had a my first Manhattan a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty tasty even though it was missing the cherry 🙁 I’m sure it wasn’t as good as your pops 🙂 Have fun visiting with your mom and grandma. Love three generation photos.

Maker’s Mark Bourbon on the rocks with a hefty splash of cherry juice and a cherry on top. I could take or leave the sweet vermouth.
