The Tale Of The Missing Sunshine

Remember that Nickelodeon show "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?"

2644

So, so scary!!

They always had stories called "The Tale Of The.." so when I write that for a title, that’s the tone I’m going for 😉

I miss my breakfast sunshine terribly! There is nothing worse for photography than a dark earth 🙁

IMG_3382 (640x427)

Up at 5 this AM to get this party started. Matt works later in the morning on mondays, so I had him around to make me breakfast! He was nice and got up with me. And brought home this muffin on Friday!

Blueberry Oat Bran

IMG_3369 (640x427)

My human ingredient list verified that this is not your typical store-bought muffin! Made with 100% (or nearly 100%) whole grains, canola, and simple ingredients, it’s as close as home-made as you can get!

Matt made a simple whipped banana oatmeal base with chia seeds and I put the muffin on top with some Greek yogurt and Nuttzo!!

I thought the yogurt would go well with the muffin. It didn’t not go well, but it wasn’t my favorite. I heated the whole bowl up in the microwave to warm up the yogurt and ruined the oats (oats do NOT like microwaves!!! They get sticky!)

IMG_3377 (640x427)

IMG_3381 (640x427)

It’s a full moon – somebody doesn’t know how to pour slowly to get froth!

I used to love Are You Afraid of the Dark! I watched it every week. That and The Secret World of Alex Mac.

My oats love the microwave…probably because I’m too lazy to have tried making them any other way, and I don’t know what I’m missing!

How weird, we must have been on the same vibe! I made some blueberry oat muffins yesterday for our breakfasts this week: wholemeal flour, Scottish porridge oats, but probably too much sugar, so I’ll be sure to cut down next time. They tasted great, with a good nutty flavour courtesy of the porridge oats and flour.

Hm, got something else to tell you about microwaves too….research indicates that they kill up to 90% of the food’s nutrition. Yeah. Not only that but they create free radicals. Ever since I learned that in holistic nutrition school I have not microwaved once…

Stephanie – holistic nutrition is a joke. It is based on baseless, unscientific ideas and opinions (not facts) and is taught by complete wing nuts. I hope you didn’t pay too much money to obtain your ‘holistic nutrition school’ certificate because it is a farce and completely useless in the real world. You are qualified to do nothing other than to sell bogus supplements or open your own practice which I hope you never do. Do you ever wonder why health care institutions such as hospitals won’t hire holistic nutritionists such as yourself? Maybe it is because they recognize that you are not qualified to care for or counsel patients?
