The Running Roll

Mowing the lawn was so easy today because I left the bag off the mower and let the clippings just fall. I didn’t even notice them! Granted the grass wasn’t that long, but boy did I waste a lot of time in the past emptying that bag!

I finished in record time and had more energy so I went on a short 3.5 mile run out our neighborhood and back. It was a wonderful run until I hit a crack and had another flying lesson!! But luckily I landed in the grass, rolled, and kept running all in one motion. It was kinda like this:

Fall

Once home I was going to do Yoga For Runners but Matt texted to say he was getting off early and we could leave early! So I’ve been rushing around ever since.

I whipped up some leftovers for lunch –

Chicken + Cilantro Pesto + Laughing Cow on one slice of Flax Oat Bran folded in half

IMG_7872 (1024x768)

A mixed greens salad with leftover zucchini + squash (and the last of the chicken that wouldn’t fit on the sandwich) tossed in pesto and dressed in lemon juice and olive oil

IMG_7871 (1024x768)

And the last of the ‘loupe!

We’re hittin’ the road to Savannah!! I am SO EXCITED about our B&B tonight. We haven’t been away just the two of us on a trip since our wedding!

Have a good time- which B & B are you in? The one I stayed in was LOVELY! Downtown Sav is beautiful but remember it’s just the downtown and the surrounding neighborhood. The rest of Sav is Wal-Mart, ugly spraw, chain restuarants. It breaks my heart to say it but it’s true =(

the picture of the roll is great. i needed a laugh. (sorry it was at your expense) all of the bread you eat always looks so yummy. my dad has lived in savannah for almost 20 years. we go all the time, make sure you take a stroll down river street. if you stand in the center of one of the squares on the river and talk, it echoes. its awesome and a must. :o)

Enjoy Savannah – if you do open a bakery there I’d def come down and check it out. Especially in March, I heard Savannah’s awesomely nutty for St. Patrick’s Day!

SAV FOOD SUGGESTION!- Jazz’d in downtown, Broughton Street- delish, inventive tapas that are large portions. Cool, hip atmosphere with live music- but make sure you don’t sit too near the band. Is a bit loud. The waiters are SO friendly.

There’s also a place on Drayton/Barnard that serves South African food- real good!
AVOID Tantra Lounge- the service sucks!

Stroll (or run) around Forsyth Park and wander around the Mansion hotel- GORGE art. Act like you are thinking of getting a hotel room and they’ll show you a SWEET place. Murphy’s (Irish) has good food too.
