The Rising Sun

I slept well!!

And this morning’s bike ride was breathtaking!

IMG_0848 (640x427)

I got up and showered and left the house to get to the bakery to open the store by 6:30. One thing I LOVE about this job is we have a wonderful breakfast selection so I don’t have to worry about eating before I leave! In fact, we have awesome lunches and snacks too, so that’s one element of healthy living I don’t have to worry about.

I’ll be back to my usual blogging schedule soon, but this week I’ll probably be blogging from the bakery in the mornings.

I immediately jumped into training so I had to postpone breakfast for a bit. Hungry!!! Then I was needed on the kneading table!

Finally – nourishment:

A Stonyfield yogurt (strawberry fruit on the bottom) with Cville Cluster granola, half a banana and some Cinnamon Vanilla Almond Butter!

A bit of our Shenandoah Joe’s coffee!

I think the best part of working in a bakery would be the fresh coffee smell (oh and the bread smell too!) and having coffee available all the time!

The Cinnamon Vanilla Almond Butter is yummy, had it in my oats this morning. Our jar is almost empty. I think we may have to pick up some of the cashew butter this week when we head to Great Harvest. I dream of opening my own bakery, but for now my own kitchen will have to do. You are so lucky to work in a place that promotes your healthy lifestyle. Have fun helping customers!

Glad you slept well last night. Maybe you’ll keep getting tired enough from working at the bakery that you’ll sleep better. Hopefully.

I love seeing all of your treats and goodies! Yum. And I’ve always loved working [though I’ve never owned my own place] in food service settings to get fed breakfast or lunch or dinner, or all three!
