We are taking today totally off from the bakery under the recommendation of Great Harvest. When Tim told us to take a day off before this week starts, Matt and I looked at each other and smiled: “WINE TASTING!” It’s our very favorite romantic getaway. After all, we did spend our whole honeymoon drinking in wine country!

But after a week of eating in restaurants, I’m a little bit overfed and the thought of drinking all day wasn’t that appealing. We decided a hike would be just as fun and a bit more relaxing.

But when it came down to planning a hike, we decided we’d rather do stuff around the house and just relax. Weeding the garden. Mowing the grass. Reading a book. Veg day! I’m excited for another day to get our house in tip top shape for the busy week ahead – including a little prep cooking!

The Wine Country, one of my fave places on earth! I always have said, could live in Napa or Sonoma if it werent for the cold winters. Yes, Im a wuss and that’s cold to me now 🙂

I think it’s great that you took a “vacation” from work but stayed home and are being productive doing the things that you want to do. That’s the BEST way to use a day off: doing exactly what YOU WANT to be doing!

Funny we have also known eachother for about 10 years but didn’t have a romantic spark until about 6 years ago. I read your story on how you met. It is always fun to hear others stories. Thanks for sharing.
