The Birds & The Bees

And the Buddha bowl

 this !

IMG_3110 (640x427)

[Hopefully back in stock on Monday, FYI]

I used another Great Harvest Oatmeal Mix today – Cinnamon Raisin! Matt said it’s oats, raisins, cinnamon, a little brown sugar, and milk powder. It wasn’t quite as good as the one I had on Sunday – I wonder if there was either less milk powder or none because I didn’t add any milk myself and it was pretty watery. Will have to investigate!

IMG_3097 (640x427)

The Mix

  • 1/3 cup oat mix
  • 2/3 cup water
  • ~1/3 of a banana (all I had left in the freezer – the countertop ones still have green tips and that will just not do.)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries, added at the end of cooking so they’d just heat up and burst with blue upon chew
  • Chai granola
  • Barney Butter blobs from the bottom of the jar

Spring Blend. So you know my problem with caffeine? That I can basically just have a half cup’s worth at a time? We’ll I’m all out of decaf to mix in and half a mug is just no fun so today I tried making it just weaker. It wasn’t half bad! I think because my normal cups are suuuuper strong and concentrated.

I love my coffee strong too. I should try making it weaker at some point and see how it goes. 😀

Your buddha bowl always makes me smile. It’s like a “hug mug” in bowl form. Love it! 😀

I wish I could get into coffee – I keep trying, but I think unless I put a ton of sugar in, it just wouldn’t work 🙁 Did you like it as soon as you tried it, or did it grow on you?
    Have a good day!

Your french press coffee always looks so delicious. Does it make a big difference as far as the taste goes? Is there any texture difference between that and regular coffee as well (i.e. is it thicker?)? Just thought I’d check. I’m a big coffee lover and would love to have my morning cup o’ joe be the best it can be. Lol…I sound like a proud parent or something.

I love the taste of french press coffee, but I’ve finally gotten myself to a point where I don’t NEED it everyday. Caffeine doesn’t really affect me that much – – it mostly just used to give me headaches when I wouldn’t have it.

I love strong coffee (though only 1 cup – I don’t know how some people manage 5 or more cups in a day…ridonc! I’d be shaking like a leaf!) – I love espresso but lately I’ve been doing drip because I have some that I need to get through before it goes bad. I just use more coffee to have it be similar to espresso. No complaints here. I’m not super sensitive to caffeine, but one cup is all I need.

    Hey Kath,
Thought of you the other day at the grocery store. I believe it is maxwell house, not 100% sure on that, but they have a new coffee that is half caf, half decaf. Don’t know if this helps, just thought I’d mention it. Love the site, one of my daily musts.

I think I’ve seen that! It would help, but I’m such a coffee snob and mostly drink flavored kinds that I”m not sure I’d like it. I usually just mix 1/2 and 1/2 at home. But I hope the concept catches on!
