Taking Requests

There’s nothing I like more than someone saying: “When I come to your house, I want to eat THAT.” After reading this post, Larbs requested grilled banana french toast.

IMG_2588edited

We used Great Harvest Fayetteville’s Ezekiel bread (which Karen brought last week)

IMG_2575edited

And a bunch of ripe bananas

IMG_2574edited

Clean dishes in this house are running low. Luckily I remembered my stack of colored plates in the bowl cabinet!

Toppings bar

IMG_2578edited

Almost too many choices!

IMG_2577edited

I went with a thin piece of toast topped with grilled bananas (which were so ripe they didn’t grill as well as usual), a blob of cinnamoned pumpkin, Ambrosial granola and TJs sunflower butter.

And for “dessert”, I polished off the leftover pumpkin : )

I think they liked it!

Mom + Dad are departing later this morning while Larbs, Matt, Matt and I go for a run across the UVA grounds and then to show Matt around Cville.

Do you sweeten the pumpkin at all or just mix it with cinnamon?

I love that both your husband and your sister’s boyfriend are named Matt!

My sister and my husbands both share the same name (Albert) too! It makes for a confusing family dinner – when someone calls out their name, and they both turn around!

How do you guys keep the two Matt’s straight?!
