Sunny Disposition

It’s been a super productive morning around here!!

Presentation finished (I’m actually excited to present it!)

Laundry.

BERF posts written.

CRIB ORDERED! [It was finally back in stock! Although now it’s out of stock again, which worries me that my order will come back cancelled!] Uggggg Wal-Mart just cancelled my order 🙁

Headache mostly gone!!

11am snack –

IMG_7806

Around 12:30 I figured I should eat lunch. I was getting that hungry feeling, yet my appetite is just off this week. I’m not really nauseous, but just not interested in eating much. Yet I’m still hungry!

IMG_7808

I decided on two scrambled eggs, which ended up tasting delicious. I like scrambled eggs best when the yolk and white don’t completely mix, so I don’t whisk them together in a bowl first – I just dump the eggs in a skillet, poke the yolks and slide the whole thing around in the pan with a spatula. Perfectly unmixed eggs! [Also saves washing a bowl!]

Apple + chips on the side. Love these red, hot + blues.

My favorite Honest Tea to sip

And despite eating this an hour ago, I’m hungry again! Not sure what I’m gonna do about that…

Have a great afternoon!

Wow, sounds like a really great morning! That crib is gorgeous – I really hope your order doesn’t get canceled!! I like your tip about not scrambling the eggs before putting them in the pan; I’m always a fan of having less dishes to wash 🙂

Wait till you set up the crib in the nursery. It’s going to hit you that OMG! There’s going to be a baby in our house! Before my twins were born, I would sit in their room and wonder what they would be like. Awww! Enjoy this time!

Hello Kath, I’ve been reading your blog for a long time but I’m not sure if I’ve commented in the past. But now I need to comment because it’s so entertaining to see how different things are in different places, here in my country scrambled eggs means putting a couple of eggs in a skillet, stir the whites a little so they cook and when they’re cooked you mix them with the yolks. So you end up with cooked whites and semi cooked yolks, all mixed up. Well, I like them like that, some people like the yolks very cooked and some people like their whites very liquid (yikes!). No one would ever think of mixing the eggs in a bowl and then tranferring them to a skillet.

After that very useless piece of information (and probably bad grammar!) I congratulate you and your husband for the pregnancy, I’m reading BERF too because I love all the information you give us readers (especially women, even though I don’t think about becoming a mother anytime soon, I think someday it could happen).

    Best regards from Chile!

I know what you mean about mixing the yolk and whites: it takes away from the complete deliciousness of runny yolk!…probably explains my love for poached/dippy eggs!

I don’t like my eggs fully mixed either! My dad taught me the best way to make them – you crack the eggs into the pan and then scramble just the whites, leaving the yolks alone. When the whites are almost done, then you scramble the yolks into the whites. It makes perfect eggs every time! 😀

I want the Modena crib in grey, too! We went to our local Wal-Mart and they said, well, we’re getting 78 of them in stock next week. Who would get 78 of the same cribs?! Needless to say, it never came in. I may just have to settle for white one and paint the room grey.
