Strike A Pose

Our neighbor kitty stopped by to say hello this morning – can’t believe I got him to sit still for a photo! He lives down the street and is pretty skittish. ALL of the neighborhood cats have started hanging out here!

IMG_8816

He brought over a tuna casserole to welcome me home!

IMG_8818

I chipped away at my to-do list for a few hours before I realized I had better do some yoga or I’d miss grocery shopping before lunch.

Dave Farmar is the best! Best yoga in town is in my own living room. Especially with my new Aveda Shampure candle Karen got me for Christmas!

IMG_8831

I cannot believe I was able to self-photograph this handstand! I normally don’t stay up for more than a few seconds but this was one of my best ones! Probably because I had a lens for an audience ; )

IMG_8825 IMG_8828 IMG_8826

After yoga I quickly showered, ate a date, and was off to Whole Foods. I wasn’t sure if I would need to eat the salad bar before shopping or if my hunger would hold off yelling at me for a quick 20 minute zip through the store so I could go home and eat cozy.

IMG_8833

I did manage to fit in shopping first, but …(…listen for the sarcasm) I just HAD to eat at Whole Foods because I wouldn’t have time to prepare anything when I got home! I think the last time I ate at ours was when we moved in.

IMG_8841

I got the usual pile of veggies and greens topped with bits and pieces of cold salads.  My favorite was the seaweed salad and the big hunks of roasted butternut squash!

IMG_8838

IMG_8836

Side of seltzer

IMG_8842 IMG_8844

I finished eating at 3:30PM so who knows when I’ll be hungry for dinner!

IMG_8834

Despite the “take out,” I am super excited for my stocked fridge!!

Karen’s coming over for dinner and a movie later tonight.

Great handstand! I am impressed, I haven’t been able to do one of those since I was in high school. I have always been a runner, and I just recently started Yoga. It definitely made me realize how adversely running can effect your flexibility. Hope I can “yoga” as a good as you do someday:-)

Yeah, me too – I’m thinking more of a towel tough. When my feet are too dry they slip on the towel. I need them to sweat – or lotion up – to stick.
