stopping by woods on a snowy afternoon

PhotosB (6)

Have I mentioned how much I love walking!?

The first few months we lived here were warm and it was all bike, bike, bike. But not that the cold makes pedaling at 26 mph unbearable, walking has become necessary and I’ve realized how much I prefer it to biking. I can check my email, talk on the phone, carry my camera safely on my back and enjoy the sights. I hope when it warms up I can continue the trend!

PhotosA (7)

The walk to Karen’s – about 2 miles – was so pretty with our melting snow.

I hung out with her for a while [and taught her things on her computer!] before we headed out to restaurant week at Brasserie Montiel.

We enjoyed some drinks. A Cab for me

And this beautiful stemless martini for Karen

Along with our own personal loaf of gooey bread!

I LOVED the gorgonzola!!

The trout was incredible!!!

It came with broc

PhotosA (2)

The fluffiest, chewiest wild rice. Wish I had thought to ask them the brand!

Dessert

image

My favorite part. Sorbet never appears to me in restaurants (I’d rather go for the ganache cake or buttercream!) but tonight they were calling my name and they were absolutely refreshing!

PhotosA

Karen’s tiramisu wasn’t half bad either!

BLOG-9445

We enjoyed some decaf coffees for dessert. A nice ending touch!
