Sprinkles

Ears awaken.

Mind climbs out of dreams.

I peek out from my face mask. Eyes open.

Light.

It must be time to get up. 7:30 – indeed.

Glance to window:

BLOG-9449

Wait, what is that!?

BLOG-9453

SNOW!?

BLOG-9454

An exciting surprise!!! When I went to bed I didn’t see any snow in the forecast. Such fun.

BLOG-9455

We probably only got an inch or so, but the flakes were huge and made for a cozy morning.

Something to celebrate!!

BLOG-9461

BLOG-9478

I bought a container of sprinkles before the holidays but never got around to using them. After seeing Jessica’s Birthday Cake Pancakes I realized they make a pretty sprinkled topping to my Kodiak cakes this morning : )

BLOG-9463

BLOG-9476

I made half a cup of Kodiak cakes and threw in some sprinkles along with a banana into the batter. Along with nature’s sprinkles: chia seeds. Plus more for topping, homemade crunchy peanut butter and coconut.

The snow certainly makes a beautiful scene to peer out to from my computer!

Love the snow! I’m staring out the window at a bunch of dead leaves on the ground and muddy grass. Still. Wish we would get some more winter weather!

Breakfast looks great! I just finished up my OIAJ (in my homemade pb jar) with nature’s sprinkles!

Kodiak cakes are great, but with sprinkles?!? Even better! I used to love them as a kid and haven’t had them in ages. Unfortunately snow isn’t as exciting here because it’s been snowing pretty much every single day but I hope you are enjoying it! 🙂 Have a great Friday Kath!
