Sprinkle, Splatter

IMG_8810Blog

I’ve had a little bit of a change in plans today. We had something come up this morning that had me up at 5am and busy [everything is OK – nothing serious].

I had a banana around 7am, had a free window from 7:30-8:30 where I surprisingly went out for a quick 3 mile run in some misty drizzle. Just finished up a delicious bowl of pumpkin apple yogurt!

Breakfast-5Blog-2

  • 1 cup Oikos
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • Pinch ground cloves
  • 1 apple, nuked for 60 seconds
  • 1 scoop peanut butter
  • Sprinkle chia seeds
  • Splatter of Cville Cluster

Gonna get a coffee at the bakery!

Have a smooth rest of the day! I was looking at the apple in the first photo thinking it was super marshmallowy banana.

I haven’t been to the grocery store since I was out of town for two weeks and I’m in dire need of yogurt – love the idea of warming the apple!

Do you ever worry about the yogurt and heated up fruit not blending well…or cause clumping of the yogurt?

I know this isn’t regarding oatmeal, but I actually add yogurt instead of milk to my oatmeal after I cook it and it’s still hot, then let it sit for a few minutes before eating it. I thought it would clump but it doesn’t! It adds such a creamy texture to it!

Mmm – I love the idea of that flavor combo. I’ve been dying to do pumpkin apple oats but was worried the combo might be strange. You’ve completely convinced me that it will not be 🙂

I loved the Coach’s Oats by the way! Had them this morning with PUMPKIN!! All that was missing was Cville Cluster granola to make it a completely perfect bowl 😉
