Sponsored By The Number 15 [And Lots Of Words]

CON of owning two businesses: working on Saturday mornings, Saturday nights and odd hours.

PRO of owning two businesses: taking a morning to roll around in a funk.

[Oh, and being your own boss!!]

I think I just overslept last night because I could NOT get energy to ANYTHING today! But what is odd is that the one thing I was in the mood to do was go to the gym. Not exercise outside – but be in a cold gym. Strange “craving” to have! So instead of doing an afternoon workout like I had planned, I went to the gym instead.

The minute I stepped outside I knew all I was lacking was fresh air! I picked some garden greens for lunch and then headed out. Since I missed Body Pump on Monday, I actually did some weight lifting!! Imagine that. And my arms feel pretty tired too. I lifted 15 pounders and did reps of 15 of biceps, shoulders, rows. Plus squats, lunges, tripceps, pulls ups and pushups. All sets of 15. I also did 3 sets of 15 minute on the elliptical – interrupted by water breaks. I love Better Homes & Gardens!!

Number of the day: 15

When I left the gym, it was raining! Just enough that I could brave the bike ride down to the bakery (which is luckily all downhill!)

MADE IT!

But you can tell how dark it got from these dim photos of lunch –

IMG_2861 (640x427)

Kale, mustard greens, dill and lettuce, smashed together with olive oil, salt and SOY SAUCE which was so delicious!! I forget how much I love soy sauce. Plus leftover salmon and pecans. I topped it all with a slice of High Five!

IMG_2860 (640x427)

Cantaloupe on the side –

IMG_2865 (640x427)

IMG_2859 (640x427)

And a nubbin’ of Savannah Bar left by my favorite snackster, Allie!! Miss you Allie!

IMG_2858 (640x427)

During lunch the skies opened up and dump a monsoon. You can see the steam rising after it cleared!

IMG_2869 (640x427)

And now the skies are blue again

IMG_2868 (640x427)

I’ve got payroll to do and bread to eat other tasks that need me!

Hope it’s not raining for the bike ride home…

I was in a pretty funky funk today too. Maybe it’s good we didn’t cross paths, after all. I WILL definitely see you tomorrow, though!

We had a day like that last week. One second it was shining sun and the next it was dumping rain. Summer weather can be so weird – it’s almost like the 4pm showers in FL except once those are gone they never come back!

When I’m in a funk a good workout is always the thing to get me out of it. Even if it’s just a walk outside. It’s so funny how your mood can totally change as soon as you step out into fresh air.

Glad you had a good, sweaty gym session – sad for you that it’s raining (fingers crossed it subsides for the bike ride home!)

Glad you were able to turn your funk around. I, unfortunately, have not been able to. It’s been a day that started badly as soon as I got to work, and has just gotten more and more frustrating.

HA! you can never really tell how dim or bright it really was in my world with the beauty and magic of Lightroom 🙂 Natural lighting and taking a great picture on the outset is always great…but when that fails, gimme my Lightroom!

You were the one who pushed me over the edge about 4-5 mos ago to get it. And it’s amazing. I actually just hosted a give away for a copy of it on my site b/c I can’t stop gushing about my love of it. Photoshop…still need to learn that 🙂

Today has been hot, not to mention the fact that there is something wrong with the air conditioner in our house–uggghhh–so we do not have cold air circulating! However, despite the fact that we do not have air, I am appreciating the fact that we even have air when it does work. It is all about turning something negative into something positive 🙂

    The cantaloupe looks good!

I have been craving a watermelon smoothie or something of the such! It sounds so refreshing!

Because I don’t have any blood pressure /heart problems and because I’m athletic, I don’t worry about salt. I also don’t eat much processed food, so using a little soy sauce or sprinkling kosher salt on things is fine with me.
