Smokin’

Baby in da house!!

IMG_9804 (640x427)

My best friend from high school, Becca, brought over 10 month old Guinevere to play. [Here she was 8 months ago!]

IMG_9807 (640x427)

Such fun!! She was just like a doll ๐Ÿ™‚ I want one!

IMG_9809 (640x427)

Around 11, Matt and I set out on a running adventure down Tobacco Road. To the Tobacco Trail in Durham. The path was awesome, but the SUN was not. We did about 5 miles and thank goodness for the Camelbak!!

IMG_0278 (640x480) (3)

I had a few raisins before I left

IMG_0276 (640x480) (2)

LOTS of water during the run

And a parking ticket after ๐Ÿ™

Matt parked about 3 inches on the sidewalk and they got us. We drove a few blocks to the Durham parking office and submitted an appeal. We were safely away from traffic and were not obstructing pedestrian foot traffic at all.

IMG_0279 (640x480) (3)

Since I knew we were also very close to Whole Foods, we made a stop…

IMG_0280 (640x480)

Went in for this

IMG_0281 (640x480) (2)

Came out with this!

IMG_0283 (640x480) (3)

This was the only coconut water I could find chilled so I decided to try it. It was too sweet (sweetened with Stevia) and I didn’t care for the lemon/lime as much as plain.

IMG_9813 (640x427)

I couldn’t resist!!!

IMG_9811 (640x427)

IMG_9814 (640x427)

I had bits and pieces of veggies, beans, tofu, sweet potatoes (!!), kale, noodles. It was awesome.

IMG_9818 (640x427)

Also, I few pieces of Matt’s sliced cheese

IMG_9821 (640x427)

I have my name in the bricks next to Wool E. Durham at the Durham Bull’s ballpark and spent many summers going to games, but I have never seen this movie! Going to watch it in the background while I work on Summit stuff online.

I hear ya on the parking tickets. I got one on campus once because I was ‘blocking’ a driveway by about 1 inch while I ran in to hand in an assignment. They saw my car, wrote the ticket, and left it there for me, all within the span of about 3 minutes. AGGHHHHH!

A beautiful baby, and I love her name! Very original in an Arthurian legend sort of way ๐Ÿ™‚
I went 27 years without a ticket, but 2010 has brought 4 so far. The latest? Sleeping in my car in Canada. Yuck.

OMG! I totally did not realise that you are RIGHT in my town! That’s the WF I shop at, that’s the trail I run (sadly not today though), that’s the movie that has shots of my highschool all through the intro…my goodness, I need to sit down and process this. Also, next time you are near Ninth St. and have a hankering for coffee, Bean Traders is my favorite place in town.

Good luck getting out of the parking ticket – it sounds like you have my bad luck, in the sense that I almost NEVER park anywhere illegally, and when I do it’s always accidental, but I always get caught. SIGH. So I really hope you get yours fixed!

    Aww, she’s adorable! ๐Ÿ˜€

Parking tickets are such a pain! I’ve heard that appeals are usually pretty successful though. Good luck with it!

Kath – it’s Wool E. BULL ๐Ÿ˜‰ I grew up going to Bulls games, too…didn’t you love it when they hit a home run and the smoke came out the nostrils?! Very cool you have your name on the bricks…my dad did the brickwork on the famous players 3D brick murals!

Hope you win your ticket appeal!
