Comcast is here installing our new cable + DVR!!

We didn’t really splurge though – I found out if you bundle internet and cable you get $15 off. The basic cable channels (REALLY basic – just local ones) are only $10 a month. DVR is $15. So we got it all for only $10 more a month! All I care about is Gossip Girl, Glee, The Office and 30 Rock 🙂

We have two videos to make and basil to sing to!

Basil likes heat, so it will be slowing down as it gets cooler. We grow enough to freeze for the winter, and we just did our big season’s end basil harvest. You pick all the plants, bring them inside, and work on pulling off the leaves while watching something fun!

Pear + Cheese, a combination that always makes me giggle. My parents were raised in Alabama, where combing cheese and fruit is nothing new! I remember as a child, seeing my mom microwave cheese over pears and thinking she was INSANE. Perhaps if she had stacked in together on a sandwich, as fancifully as you have, I wouldn’t have judged her so harshly! (I still have never tried the combo)

I have a question though, how do you feel okay after running a 10K and then eating a half sandwich? I am a total running n00b but the few times that I have run distances, I have wanted to eat an entire thanksgiving dinner afterward (and probably could). Is this something that gets better with time? 🙁

Great Harvest bread is somewhat deceiving – 1 slice (especially hand-cut) is more like 2 slices of grocery store bread. So my half wasn’t nearly as small as it might seem. That sandwich was probably close to 300 calories. Add salad and chips and lunch wasn’t all that small. It was very filling!

Killer sandwich AND we have the same shirt! Yay Old Navy! 😉

Glad you got a good deal on Comcast. My cable bill is astronomical. I got a year of digital cable + HBO for $35/mo…then when the year went up, my bill skyrocketed to $80!! =O

I had to call them to knock off the HBO (yes, it seriously cost that much) and they’re giving me 6 months at $50/mo for the digital and then it goes up to $60. I could go down to local channels (which unfortunately is more like $20 here…), but I really like the Food Network. And some things on TLC. And The Daily Show. It’s all on the internet…but I hate the wait!
