Shop Girls

IMG_5864

Mom and I had fun at the mall! I got a handful of summery dresses on super sale from Macy’s – lots of hippie styles. They have really cute stuff. I didn’t get this one and now I”m wishing I did!

IMG_5869

My drive to Hillsborough was pretty painless – except for the pain-inducing tennis ball wedged between my shoulder blades!! This is the best treatment in the world for a tense back, and that yoga class yesterday left my back ripped open!

IMG_5863

After shopping for a bit we had a late lunch at Panera. I love Panera but don’t get there too often. It’s definitely my favorite “fast food” place. They have the best bread in the world! I didn’t eat my Luna Cookie (the smoothie was AWESOME in both taste and satiety) so I was pretty hungry for lunch at 1:30!

IMG_5874

I am so impressed with the new bowls and platters they upgraded –

IMG_5876

 IMG_5875

I got the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad, dressing on the side. What a fabulous salad!! I ate every bite, and it’s kept me full all afternoon (although it took a while for fullness to set in)

IMG_5878

And I had the intention of eating only half of my baguette but it was awesome and I ate it all. Love how chewy their breads are

IMG_5877

We came home and set out on a walk downtown to pick up some cheeses and salads for tomorrow’s Mother’s Day Picnic!

IMG_5881

We passed by Hillsborough Wine Company and noticed a tasting, so we stopped in on the way home –

IMG_5882

We told the woman who was serving the wine to just pour a teeny splash (we were thirsty for water!) so it was probably only about 1-1.5 oz total –

IMG_5883

Tonight we’re going to a graduation cookout for some family friends. LOVE cookouts!!

Buying summer dresses is seriously such a big bonus about the summer season. Keeping cool and looking cute at the same time! 🙂

The apple/chicken salad looks delicious. I loveee the combo of apple/turkey or chicken/cheese. Yum!

Have a blast at the cookout!

Sounds like a great time with your mom! Can’t wait to see the new outfits!

I LOVE Panera Bread. I actually just went there yesterday! I got the Mediterranean Veggie cafe sandwich on whole wheat and it was SO good! Such a healthy and delicious fast food option.

    Have a wonderful evening!

I love the Fuji Apple salad as well! Only I usually get it with a whole grain baguette or apple on the side. Our Panera let’s you choose the side.
Ours doesn’t have those nice plates, though! Still the big black trays.

You should go back and buy that dress, it’s very cute!

Coolio, I didn’t even know Panera had salads like that. I always thought it was similar to Au Bon Pain – they try to be healthy but they kinda fail. But now it’s looking up for Panera!

That dress looks amazing! I can’t wait to see the others you picked up in future pictures 🙂 I love shopping with my mom now. It reminds me of the good old days when we’d go “Back to School” shopping.

The Fuji Apple Chicken salad is one of my favorites from Panera. I was also very impressed by their bowl/plate upgrades! They are one of my favorites, too. However, when you come to Chicago you are going to have to try Cosi. I promise you that their “Etruscan whole grain” flat bread will give Panera a run for its money. But really, you can’t go wrong with any doughy bread, right?

    Have a great night!

I love the bowls shown in your pictures. The Panera closest to us didn’t have the bowls the last time I got a salad.

Fun day! I work at Panera, the Fuji salads are currently my favorite salad! I can’t stop eating them haha (I actually have to eat Panera usually 3 times a week, so it only feeds into the addiction…). The porcelain plates and bowls are nice, but as you can imagine, we break so many of them. When you dropped the old plastic trays, you could just pick em up again and wash them. When you drop the porcelain plates they break in half haha.

I don’t, but there were tons of similar dresses there,so you could probably find the style pretty easily.

Yep, you shoulda bought that dress cuz it’s supa fab. Can you go back and get it? I used to live in Greensboro so Hillsborough wasn’t such a hike, but I guess it kinda is from C’town, eh?

I adore that Panera salad. It’s the only thing I ever eat there. It’s even better with the dressing on the side, and just a drizzle over the top.
