Running Behind, Sunning Behind

                 DSC03110

Morning! I am slow getting started this morning, which is bad because I have a TON to do today to get ready for tomorrow’s full-force start to the semester. One thing that I have not finished: The Sandwich Contest. The husband chose the winners last night, but I have to get the whole post organized, so I apologize that I’ll have to put that up with lunch.

I started today with the best of the best: oats, speltberries, blueberry granola plank, and PB.

Plus a mug of Coconut-Cupcake Coffee. I have to confess that this coffee is only good with tons of splenda (as in 3 spoonfuls!). I guess I’m better off buying coffees like the Tiremisu and hazelnut-vanilla that I can drink with just milk, or at least just a small amount of sweetener.

OK, gotta get crankin’ – and so does the SUN that has yet to get up this morning!!! 8)

I don’t think I’ve ever tried a coffee that didn’t require sweetener, so the tiramisu and hazelnut coffees must be REALLY good!

Good luck getting stuff done today- can’t wait to read the contest results!

Hey kath – glad you had a great time in Boston, your sister looks really sweet (unlike mine! haha we don’t talk and she lives in Australia).

Looking forward to seeing the results of the sandwich competition – I love sandwiches and make the most ridiculously enormous concoctions – I didn’t enter cos I know you can’t send the prize internationally. But will be great to get some new ideas!

Sorry I didn’t say anything before but I was away on holiday (took me agggeseeesss to catch up on all the posts!) but thanks for the hints with Bob’s Red Mill. Was going to buy some stuff then went to the supermarket yesterday and found little cans of prepared speltberries! I couldn’t believe it – after searching high and low, I found them. So am going to try these and see how I go with them.

I forgot all about the sandwich contest! I don’t think anyone would be that impressed with a pictures of my peanut butter, banana, and honey toasted sandwiches–they would need to taste it 😉

    Can’t wait for the results!

I’m excited to see the sandwich results. I love unique sandwiches (tried a great tofu/tamari/cinnamon one at a vegetarian restaurant last week). I didn’t have a chance to enter my signature sandwich due to work travel. Although, I’m keeping it in the back of my mind for my make-believe cafe I’ll open some day. 🙂

Hi Kath-you’ll get it all done.

Couple of quick questions, what will your posting schedule be for the fall semester, and do you use a microwave?

    Have a good day.

Hey Kath! I LOVE your blog! I have been a “quiet” reader for quite a while now. You and several others have inspired me to start my own blog to play with my thoughts, and share some of my favorite things like my family, cooking, running, and trying to be healthy! I hope someday that my blog will be as classy and successful as yours. Slowly and surely I will figure it out! Thanks for your “quiet” support!

Darn– by its name that coffee had such potential. Strangely, I’ve found that how much sweetener I need in my coffee sometimes has as much to do with the smell as with the taste. Hmmm…good luck gettin’ things done.
